I loved the line! Granted, there were some issues like the pinheads. Even with that though, what I liked is that the males had ball neck joints that didn't just turn side to side like Megos; they had a fuller range of motion.

I liked the way Hasbro executed the males better. They seemed more compatible with the female FCs, something I thought Toybiz did a good job of with most of the female character (except for the long arms that is).

As I have said here before ad nauseum, I liked the 9" scale. They're compatible to Big Jim which is the scale I thought they should be even then. Now that I'm older/taller, the 8' scale seems even smaller in my hands than the bigger scale. This doesn't mean that I don't like the Retros or Megos at all. They did it first and left an impact that has lasted to this day. Looking forward to more retros.

I liked Famous Covers and was very excited when the line came out, but at the same time I can't express how dissapointed I was to find they were bigger than my Megos when I got them home. Everything was nicely done on them though except the proportions, when you take a Famous Covers head and suit and put it on a Mego body it looks much better, I've done Daredevil and Hawkey so far. Overall I prefer the Retro's because of the 8" scale, but if FC had Mego proportioned bodies they may have taken the prize for me.

I bought the Famous Covers due to my love of Mego, but the only Famous Covers figure I adore and still own is Aunt May. My vote is for Retro Action all the way.

As I mentioned, I didn't have 'em when they first came out, and was pretty disappointed with some of my favs like Hawkeye and Cap.

Not to turn this into a FC lovefest, but MeerkatMego just sent me a FC Doctor Doom and boy, HE ROCKS..!!

LOVE the color scheme, two-tone cape, and the rubber armor.. TOTALLY, TOTALLY cool.

              Retro Action

I vote Retro Action. I went out and bought all the FC, the costumes are great but some of the faces are horrific. I like the way the RA are designed, they are more comic-like and innocent. Plus the FC are too big, I did not like the scale. Retro- Action, and original Megos are my favorite. I did get excited when the FC came out because they were the closest I could find to new Megos. But thats not the case anymore.

Same I bought the FC because it was the next best thing at the time, but I wasn't happy with them at all. The heads are like little pegs sticking out of their hulking bodies.

                  True Dave

I use the boiling water method to get the retro heads and hands off the figures. If you have the Silver Age Hasbros, it should be easier to put the heads on the figures. After removing the Silver Age heads the retro head should fit well on the head stub that is there. However, if you have the Hasbro 9" Signature Spider-man figures, the heads were done differently and the heads are not attached on stubs like they were on the Silver Age. When I would boil heads and take them off of the Signature Spider-Man figures, the heads were attached to something below the neck area and would break off. I had some extra Dr. Octopus figures and would cut the tentacles and file them down so a retro head could fit on those bodies. The negative to this was the retro costumes would not fit the Hasbro 9" bodies. That is the main reason I went to the FC bodies. Again I prefer the 9" scale and even though the retro heads aren't perfect on the FC bodies I like that there is now a Lex, Sinestro and Two Face relatively the same size as the DC 9" figures. I hope this helps some!

                    Thanks!
I have an extra Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent that could be converted. And the 9" shoes are just old Hall of Fame GI Joe dress shoes.

I guess I can make a Two Face costume easliy enough. I have Bruces Tux, I could do a paint smear like in The Dark Knight movie on half the tux.Or look to the Star Trek 9" line for suits.

Luthor I guess I could find something from Famous covers.

I liked the characters but I really didnt like the hardheads on the Hasbro Spiderman Signature guys.

One of my favorite thing about megos as a kid was thier squishy rubber heads ( which were great for chewing on) so I like teh DC figures, plus Superman is teh onlt flesh hand they made.

AQUAMAN stinks! The orange rubber shirt disintergrates quickly. Flaking off.

You know I like the famous covers line that toybiz did, but I don't see them as being able to be compared to the Retro Action line. BOTH have their goods and bads. I just cannot see how to compare these.
