Never heard of Meijers, dont have them in my neck of the woods. Hope they show up at Walmart or Target. I actually checked out some dollar stores around my town this weekend, also KOHLs, they have a small toy department, no luck though.

        Meijer geography:

Nowhere near me, but I became familiar with the store via forums when they carried robust quantities of Playmates' Simpsons line.

Sure they do. Businesses have losses all the time. My brother and I work for a band that had a CD printed and ended up not liking how they turned out and just took the loss, they wouldn't even sell them for a dollar.

If Mattel made a body change and wanted to basically unload the figures they still had with the old body, they very well could have unloaded them at a loss. Sometimes when certain figures don't sell and they go in discount bins, they very easily can be selling at a loss.

Scott's right. I just went to Meijer in my pajamas(because I can) and there were four pegs dedicated:

With the hassle to get them being reduced by more places to get 'em personally I'm much cooler with the price point of $20. Plus TRU is a really disappointing shopping experience as a whole these days.

I talked to some sort of Mgr today. He ran the tags and said this is really wierd. They show discontinued but the tags are for a new set up. He has no idea when they will arive.
