Wave 5 & 6

I feel like by this time last year I had some info about the Retro DC waves to be released by Mattel. I know Wave 4 and the exclusives for this year but that's it. What about waves 5 & 6? Anyone have any solid info?

If the line continues after Wave 4, that wave will probably be the last wave for 2011, since technically Mattel is considering Wave 3 the first one of this year, and they're only averaging two waves per year. With that being said, my character predictions are (in no particular order): Classic Robin, Batgirl, Supergirl, Red Tornado, Firestorm, The Joker, Solomon Grundy and Bizarro.

Thats a pretty good list there.

I'd like to see Disco Nightwing, Brainiac and Black Canary added to the list as well.

Yeah - I don't think we'll ever see Hawkman. I think the wings would be too problematic to produce for them to sell at the current price point and packaging design. I hadn't thought of a Plastic Man - that's a possibility too. There's no way for him to look 'stretchy', but a standard body with the Plas head and costume could be easily done, and remain very "Super Friends-ish". Is that a word? LOL..

Does Mattel have a popularity or "which-character-sells-the-most" list somewhere that they pull from? Or is there some omnipotent person at Mattel deciding?

I guess for me, since 60s Batman is my fave, I guess I would just wanna see Robin, Batgirl and the Fab 4 villains, (Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman). Then someone might pull their head outta their tushies and splits the rights to the series, and simultaneously release them on DVD/Blu-ray for the future generations to get into, just like we did when Mego released the figures when the series was in syndication.
