    Now I understand....

Now I understand why the face on the New Wonder Woman figure has been bugging me so much.

She looks like a freaking Breyer girl!

Take a good look at the pointed face, frozen smile, and vacant eyes on her, compare them to a Breyer, and tell me I'm wrong!

Okay, the vintage WW was rather bland looking, with no real expression.

I concur wholeheartedly with that assessment.

    But THIS? For Wonder Woman?

    Um.....no. Just plain.....no.

Wonder Woman was sculpted by a top professional in the business who
has worked on Nickelodeon, Disney, Marvel, etc. properties. It was very
important to me - as the father of an 8 year old girl - to make a Wonder
Woman that was beautiful, strong, and confident.

We were not trying to make an angry or manish WW but one that had
a cheerful expression without grinning like a beauty queen contestant.

Well she's not angry or manish looking for sure.

I think it's a great sculpt. It leans more towards the pretty lady doll than fierce action female, but that's most appropriate for this line. I think Paul's instinct was a good one. And the detail in the sculpt is way better than a Breyer girl.

For me, I love how she looks and I'm just glad that they are available for all of us to collect and some to scrutinize.

                      Thank you Paul!

This is a toy that I can give to my 3yr old twin daughters in the future without any reservations and a lot of joy. I can't say that for say DCUC Power Girl for instance. Well done. Beats the original Mego WW by a mile.
