I usually give my boss and his wife something for Christmas every year since they treat me like family, and the last couple years I've gotten gifts for their two grandchildren as well.
Well, this year I got the boy (who's four) a retro Superman, which he received this morning, since they're going to be away traveling during the holiday.
His grandmother called me at work and put him on the phone...he LOVES his Superman. He said thank you, told me he loved his "uncle", and wished me a Merry Christmas.
Grandma said he hasn't put the thing down for hours, and wants to be a superhero now. Actually making me cry as I write this...
I think that's the best gift I could've asked for this year.
