Would love these in 8 inch format!!!“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

Since we just had Remembrance Day here, I'd be interested in something like this honor my Grandfather who fought in WW1 and my Uncle who was in the Navy in WW2 and two of my Aunts who were nurses in WW2. It would be pretty cool to have figures in the uniforms they wore.Comment

i looked these up a bit more and they are awesome. I had two back in teh day. The Japanese officer and the French rifleman.
I realized GI Joe has too many clothes and you do end up playing dress up instead of WAR!!!!
These guys are just teh right size!Comment

I dunno, seems like military figures are a better fit for 12-inch scale, where you can really go crazy with the detail of the accessories. In Mego scale, that's a lot of new tooling to get the detail right (assuming molds/re-casts aren't being used - if they were, the accessories would be off-scale, right?). The big advantage would be vehicles and dioramas that aren't the size of your dining room table, but I don't know if enough military fans would go for it. They seem to like their figures big and hyper-detailed.
And are there really enough dyed-in-the-wool Mego fans (who are mostly into sci-fi and comic book heroes) to support a realistic WWII line? All that olive drab is going to contrast with your candy-colored Super Heroes.Last edited by Sandman9580; Nov 19, '10, 4:28 AM.Comment
