Old toy packages and Famous Monster covers are what inspired me to start painting about ten years ago...here's my Barnabas, from last year.

It's true...I was really into comics and Masters of the Universe as a kid, and the painted artwork on the MOTU boxes by William George and Earl Norem was a major part of their appeal to me. I am also a huge fan of painted art on vintage metal lunchboxes and coloring book covers.

Today's toy packaging could really use some of that old school goodness.
