Anyone know if Egons glasses are glued on, or part of the sculpt. I see a lot of potential uses for a pair of specs like that.

Kind of a bad picture to judge and clearly that's the wrong Peter, since it's the SDCC exclusive in the pic there.

I have no intention of opening when I got my Peter Venkman figure,but when I heard about the figure's body part being too loose,had to open up and check and yes,same loose limbs and can't stand up straight.
So I had to pass on the other figures till they fix the bodies.

The SDCC body is different in that the torso and pelvis are one piece to accommodate the sound device. I don't think the regular versions have sound devices. Does anyone know for sure?

RGB doesn't really jive with the 70's retro-action. Strange decision here. The Kenner RGB line was so great because of all the supporting ghost figures. I doubt we get a single ghost in this line.

I'm going to need these. I dug all my old RGB stuff out and cleaned it up for display (for Halloween). I seem to be missing Ray for some reason. Anyway, these would look nice next to the firehouse and Ecto-1

The best thing about this kind of line is that it potentially opens up the 8" Mego format to new fans, and in this case slightly younger fans entering that phase where they have a great deal of disposable income to support lines like this.

Although I'm a fan of the original Kenner line as well, particularly since the best figures in that line-up were the monsters with some really inventive action features. Perhaps there is a way of doing these kind of features in this 8" retro format... after all Mego did do fist fighters and Fonzie with "aye" action. There is no reason why a head sculpt these days couldn't incorporate some oddball bulging eyes, or hairflip or open mouth tongue sticking out action.

Perhaps if these are successful enough, they will find a reason to recycle the 12" move masters sculpts into the more cost effective 8" format to be sold in the mass retail outlets.

I would have expected them to go the easier route and put the sound device inside the proton pack, thus they can use the regular bodies. You have to see that their hearts were in the right place if they did go to the trouble of putting the sound device inside a mego style body.

It would give me an excuse to collect the Mego monsters and or the various remakes of said monsters.
