    Aquaman's head ripped :(

I got Aquaman today. I took him out of the package to play around with him and when I turned his head it...ripped. Its still on but like 25% still on. Any idea's as to how I can fix it?
I'd take him back to the store but I bought him at a Toys R Us that was several hours away and not worth the gas to go all the way back.

Otherwise he's an awesome figure. Except for the head thing.

There doesn't appear to be a 1 800 # on the back. It's on international packaging. Its got a bunch of languages on there but no phone numbers.

..oh, and when you call them, tell to stop sticking those %&*#@$ hard plastic insert pins into the neck. thats what tears the heads when you turn them...or pull them out (if your not being carefull!!!)

The same thing happened with my Green Arrow when I first got him,... I got in touch with customer service and they told me they would ship me a new one (at my expense), if I shipped them the defective one with tracking and delivery confirmation (all at my expense)...

In the end, I found that a small thread spool was the exact width to slide inside the hole left in neck. With a bit of glue to hold it all together it works as a replacement peg.

Why did they make solid Megos in the old days, and stuff that breaks when you breathe on it nowadays?

You know, when I had issues with my mail away Boba Fett, HASBRO not only agreed to replace the item for free, they sent me a postage paid label so that my return to them would be paid for by them.

I'd call Mattel and tell them that, and then mention I'm posting my experience online for others who have the same issue.

I wonder what their response to that would be?

Probably to send you some of their Mattel fun bucks.

That's usually what they do with DCUC issues. I'm shocked they offered to even send a replacement.

Yeah, I'm gonna sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but back in the day, people cared about the quality of their product, b/c they knew people would keep coming back for such reliable items. Now it's all planned obsolesence. They keep you coming back b/c they know they have a really cheap product, and you're gonna have to replace it!

This is true. Most companies stress test their materials so that they are made to eventually either break or malfunction. If something lasted too long, people wouldn't need to buy replacements. Fact.
