I'm just wondering. If Wave 1 has been out since what, March? ... why is Wave 2 distribution so sluggish and spotty? I read on these boards that some people got Wave 2 at TRU weeks and weeks ago? ... is that right? Can't understand why I haven't seen any on the peg hooks... I'm in the Cleveland area... Anyone?

When Wave 1 first hit, there were reports of them on pegs for months before I personally saw any on the shelf in Florida.
So, I figure now that reports are out on Wave 2, I'll have to wait a month before I see them.
It's a Mattel thing. I don't question it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's NOT a Mattel thing (as much as I despise Mattle, it's not them).. it's a stock ordering thing.
Again, and I've mentioned this in many other post/threads, this is not 30 years ago, new stock is AUTOMATICALLY ordered, not re-stocked by manual ordering. If your TRU has a certain number of Wave 1 STILL on the pegs, then you will never see wave 2 until the magic number to trigger a new shipment is realized. This is the way almost all brick and mortar stores handle stock (and re-orders) now. If you REALLY want an item it's almost always best to buy the item online, and save gas money, time and stress.

I've noticed that there are Toys R' Us stores that, I guess you could say, are treated a lot different than the rest of the stores. There are stores in my opionion from experience that are favorited. They always have everything in stock and they always are the first to have new items. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think that you are going to notice unless you have traveled a little.Comment

I've gone to TRU every Friday for about 5-6 weeks in a row. Every week so far there has been evidence that a new case of wave 2 was put on the shelves each week. I had to make so many trips because they had been picked thru and I couldn't get all at once!! I have as many as I wanted at this point and I have no complaints and I'm impressed that they had as many as they did. It certainly wasn't like that with wave 1.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

All I want is a Aquaman & a Twoface...and I've been to Toys R' Us about 5-6 weeks in a row, and have seen no evidence they've even been on the Shelves...I'm bumming.
Meanwhile...Newberry Comics has had them that long. But I refuse to pay $29.99 knowing I have to turn around and replace the Bodies.sigpicComment

Slugggish
I gave up on Toys R Us and orderd them from Amazon, I paid 19.99 each with 6.71 tax and free shipping. The figures are amazing, 0 defects and 0 shipping damage. The bodies are still whobbly but the sculpts and costumes are great.Comment

The TRU in Bellevue, WA where all the techy yuppies and Microsoft money folks live get the best service than the other ones, including the Northgate one which is the closest to Downtown Seattle.
The one out in Silverdale and Bellingham are the worst because they are so far from the distribution center.Comment

I gave up on buying them in Nashville about a month ago. I went every Tuesday and Friday for about a month. Talked to employees that didn't even know what I was talking about. Ordered them online from Amazon, Then yesterday I go in just to see if they ever got them and they had at least a few cases on the pegs. I still needed the Superman because I originally wasn't going to buy any figure that Mego orginally made. I found 2 supermans, one had an S that was cracked and the other his nose was missing the tip (how Mego) LOL. I broke down and bought the cracked S superman. I know everyone is complaing about the price and I'd like to not pay that much either but let's break it down shall we...............7.00 Doc Mego Body, 15.00 Theresa/Brian suit, 8.00 Custom Head, 5.00 custom boots, 10.00 Toyroom/Mego 73 package. Thats 45.00 to KITBASH the figures if you could get the parts and had the skills to make them look right. Am I wrong on these projected numbers?Comment
