Thank you for the insight Joe. I look forward to collecting 'em all for years to come, assuming they make it to my TRU. Still no wave 2 yet. But I know that is not your fault. Can't wait to see what's coming.

Okay, been a while since we chatted about this, but Paul and I spent several days in LA together with our various partners and assembled all the comments on the bodies and such. Every detail was discussed, every visual was shown and all the flaws demonstrated. So, with any luck (and continued followup), we will be seeing improvements in these bodies as the waves continue.
And they will. I would just like to finally silence any agenda-carrying naysayers here who keep using the phrase "will kill the line" or "s-can the line" by saying that no less than two more years of figures were discussed beyond the ones we've already planned and prototyped, so that's two years on top of the many you already don't know about yet.
So, these figures are successful, here to stay and it looks like they'll keep going until there are no more figures that make sense being done in the format. Mego superheroes are back and not going anywhere.
I thank everyone for their exhaustive feedback (one item that really resonated with the client was that some of the recommendations came from people with actual plastics and engineering experience, so I think they felt that they were getting some strong consultation), and as best as the monolithic process of our friends and clients will allow, all of this information will be taken into consideration.
Cheers,

A retooled pelvis and torso section would be a great start. I don't know how far they want to go, but I'd start there and then move on to revamping the stringing process.Comment

Thanks to you, Joe, Doc, and everyone at Emce for the great news!
24 figures over the next two years? Time to start saving some money, as I want 'em all!"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment

Yes, this is fantastic news. I do hope (don't know if this got mentioned or not) that with the new designs, we might see those improvements used in re-issues of waves 1 & 2?
That would be very cool."...You can capture the Klingon & bring him back to the Enterprise!"Comment

This is all such great news. I do agree with the post above. It will be a shame if the first few waves don't get re-issued with better bodies so they can be as great as future figures. Especially since so many of the early wave characters were DC Comics biggest icons (Batman,Superman,Wonder Woman,
Flash,Green Lantern,Shazam,Green Arrow and Aquaman)Comment

I'm EXTREMELY sorry to see I missed this. I was just reading through prior to making comments and I see the ship has sailed.
HOWEVER, I have to thank Doc and Joe and all the members. There is excellent feedback here. Without looking I think the guy who posted photos of the pelvis with the Circles probably resolved my only issue with the bodies, which is that their hips thrust and if you "fly" them, the legs fall.
I haven't looked at these in a while but I also have to vote for Metal Snaps on the costumes. The plastic snaps must go. Or maybe get heavier.
If the hips issue is fixed, I'm personally OK I think. Other fixes would be upgrades and less retro.
No reason they can't juice the chest, arms AND abs though if they are up for that.
Swivel biceps are probably an excellent suggestion as well.
I may post later after I read this but you guys got it goin' on.
Thanks to Joe and Doc and Mattel for soliciting feedback. I was going to make a YouTube video and demonstrate my issues early on but Doc convinced me not to. Therefore I still have 2 of the 8 I that I initially bought.
If they fix the bodies I'll get 1 set of them all and doubles or triples of some. I promise.
Thank you all. These could be great. There is really no excuse for them being inferior to my 30yr old tight, poseable Type 1 Spidey though. Or the Batman and Robin I sold.
I'm very excited to see this thread. Thank you all.
