comprehensive mego-esque list?

hello, everyone!

i apologize if this is already on these forums anywhere. i looked around and didn't see anything.

i'm a fan of the mego style -- enough that i will buy the figures even for properties that don't necessarily interest me. if they're cool-looking, i'm in!

anyway, i'm trying to find/compile a list of all the re-mego style lines out there, from any manufacturers and for any properties.

any thoughts on quality would be appreciated, too.

BBP has lost, venture bros, dexter (?), big lebowski, flash gordon.

there was that TV nostalgia happy days, married with children company.

i think the same company did pirates, clowns, and some other mego rehashes.

mattel, obviously, with the WGSH

castaway has the phantom

spectre has dark shadows


i'm sure there's tons i'm missing. please fill in any blanks. and if there's a good list like this already out there, please point the way!

Castaway has Captain Action and Dr Eville as well.

EMCE does Treks, Apes and Night of the Living Dead.

Mattel also does Ghostbusters.

Someone here mentioned that Dexter was cancelled.

CTVT also has Brady Bunch, Munsters, I Love Lucy, Robin Hood, Knights and Old West.

As far as ReMego goes in the new Millenium, your list is missing:

Heroes In Action, who did a Bararck Obama figure in 2009, and will be releasing an Abraham Lincoln as well as a 'Lincolnstein' figure in 2011.

and

Zica Toys, which are working on a Buck Rogers in the 25th Century line, and will hopefully be releasing their first two (of a possible ten) figures by the end of the year, along with - we hope, we hope, we hope - a limited-editition and pricey, but gorgeous scale Star Fighter.

There's also The Commander X line.

And not sure about your definition, but the UFC figure line from Jakks Pacific is Mego scaled.

And just to be clear since nobody's gone comprehensive, Classic TV Toys did the following:

Plus they sell kitbashed figures mixing pieces from all of those lines at their website, along with clothes, bodies and accessories. I think that's all of them - I didn't include Andre the Giant since he wasn't on a Mego body, always assumed that was a repackaging of the Jakks Pacific version of the figure, though he is 8".

I realized I missed a figure available at CTVT; the Jet Jungle reissue figure. So I updated the CTVT list.

Also remembered the Mezco 9" Megoesque lines:

Warriors (4? figures)
Gomez (1 figure, two variants)

It's a shame these didn't catch on; there were plans to do a Heroes line in this format that never happened. I blame Heroes sinking popularity for that, which is a shame, because I thought the show was fantastic in its first year and would've loved megoesque figures of it.
