Freedom of speech

I just received a private message for one of my comments. Read below (Azrak: Mattel 'bootleg' thread
The following comment is completely unacceptable: "Mattel Retro staff should do us all a favor and shoot your self." Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but expressing it in such a vile and hateful way will not be tolerated. This is your one and only warning. Any postings along these lines in the future will result in your account being deleted and your permanent banishment from the site
.) Since when is our opinion hateful. I gave my opinion of these crappy Mattel retro figures and the people who put them out. In this day and age with all out technology you can't tell me Mattel cannot make a better figure with the same cost or less. I have my own company and if of my employees made something as bad as this stuff they wouldn't have a job. Who approves these figures are the board member blind. I would love to see a video of the Mattel retro staff approving these proto types what were drunk or they just don't care because your going to buy them anyway. And If you guys want to ban me for my opionn go ahead. I really don't care .I have over 1000 figures in my collection a couple member have seen my collection first hand and know I am a serious toy collector. Not a fly by night that most collectors are. I collect because I love it. I hated all the figures from the 1990"S almost everything was junk ( HOF Joe's, toy biz figure and more). It took a company like Medicom and Hot Toys to change collecting forever. Mattel and hasbro are so behind they just don't get it. I've been collecting longer then some of you were born (since 1983). I bought one retro figure. The body was so loose that it could stand. I change the body and thrown the piece of junk in the garbage where it belongs. So I guess i get banned after this for good

Choose your words better. I can't imagine anyone will agree with your wording. You are entitled to your opinion, but express it better.

That's pretty clear, what do you not understand?

You should just quietly do as the Mods requested and that would be the end of it.

By posting what the Mod wrote i'm guessing you want to drag it out further and make a big issue of it.

Not a good idea, imo

We've got plenty of Mattell critics here. It's 50% of our posts these days it seems. We just draw the line at stuff like "They should SHOOT THEMSELVES".

You're perfectly aloud to hate them or think they're crappy or whatever, it was your choice of words that the mods rightfully found unacceptable. Its not the end of the world or anything, they're just letting you know you stepped outside the bounds of what the community here approves of.

And they're not junk. The bodies are not great. We get that. We ALL get that to the point where we're all sick of hearing about it. But the figures look nice. They look Mego-ish. That was the goal, and it was achieved. Place Retro Green Arrow next to his Mego counterpart. They're pretty close.
Just last night I was looking at the book Worlds Greatest Toys (as I do often) and was looking at pics of the Alter Ego's and kinda thought about how cheesy they sort of look. But yet, I still think they're cool. The Retro's do the same thing for me. Cheesy yet awesome.

Hey, vintage rules big time.

You just gotta find the balance of audience and purpose when you post. I hope you'll reconsider this thread and make the long haul of longtime member/poster something worth working towards.

Makes about as much sense as yelling "Fire" in a crowded movie theatre. You must have more common sense than that. The moderators aren't going to tolerate that kind of behavior , and neither are the members of this community. Deal with it.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I'm tired of the Cheesy figures. I collected the 90's Gijoe hall of Fame they were all cheesy and junk glad I sold them. The toy biz 6" Batman and X-men were junk and the worst figure ever made was the Ultimate 12" Wolverine the looked liked Dolly Parton in yellow spandex . I called toy Biz and complained I gave them a earful. my son who was eight at the time loved wolverine but he all hated him when I took him to TRU

You are allowed to critique the Mattel bodies all you want, no problem with freedom of speech here. But please THINK before you post. This is a toy board, please exlpain what real guns and toys have in common? As far as I know NOTHING, so why would you make that "shoot themselves" comment? With a little common sense all this could've been avoided.
And it's not really done to make these kinda PM's public. You got warned for a reason, deal with it and let it go.

And I think you're seriously underestimating the members here, you won't find too many people here born after 83

To tell u the truth I was never really offended by the statement, dont we sometimes go to friends "Ill kill u for that" with a smile on my face, of course without a notion of carrying it out. I personally thought it was a harmless statement, just my whacky british dark sense of humour. and in no way would he want these people to shoot themselves, just my opinion.

You are a guest here and there are rules, if you feel above them then we are not interested in your further participation.

Your irresponsible wording violated our rules here, you don't have the right to say that here.

I've been collecting since 1984, it doesn't give you any extra weight to an opinion, so please spare the lecture.
