I stopped by The Manchester , N.H. Newbury Comics tonight and I was blown away that they had a TON of B.B.P. figs.... they had the Ventura Bros. and the Big Lebowski figs at a $19.99 price point. That's cool cuz They normally knock prices up a little bit, but the figs are well worth the $20 bucks. Then I took a look at the superhero wall...... Now both Concord and Manchester N.H. dont have the series 2 retro heroes , but Newbury Comics did..... They had all 4 , now this is what killed me.......$29.99 a piece!!!!! $30 a figure!!! You gotta be kidding!! I heard that Mattel might be raising their prices but $30 a piece I almost lost my supper!!! No way am I paying that , and the Aquaman they had looked broken in half!!! I'll wait for my toy's r us to come through.

Thats whats keeping me from buying some of the cooler figures produced this year. I was on the fence on ordering the new twilight zone line. Cost of the figures plus tax and post is around $50 for two. Was gonna bid on some of the newer wave 2 but the cost of the figures and shipping lately is still around $30 a figure. Im holding out for finding wave 2 at TRU. Might still order the twilight zone figures two at a time.Comment

I aint feeling that price($30).

Buying through Diamond (the main source for non-TRU outlets) dictates these inflated prices. I believe their cost is about $18 a figure plus shipping, so it is impossible to compete with TRU's retail.

Wow. I saw a couple Series 2 figs (Batman and Aquaman I think) at a comic shoppe here in Canada for $29 a pop. I expect to pay more up here, but $29 south of the border... Yikes.Comment
