Nice review. But the more I see that RC...the more it confirms(to me), that removable Cowls will always make the Head look too big.

Very good review. This emblem problem is a real drag though. Batman's falls off and Superman's gets all cracked. Come on Mattel, step it up.

P.S. I still want one but man it sucks that these problems are there. Regardless of what they say Mattel as a company should really be more protective of their own brand name. They have been on top for far too long to start having simple quality issues soil their reputation.

Have you tried putting the cape on over the cowl? That will cinch it together tighter in the back, and make it look less 'big' on Bruce's head.

What I did with one of my Bats is switch out the body to a Zica and it's perfect. Looks beefy and better poses.

What I love most about the retro figure is the return to the old school "high tech" looking utility belt with all the mini gadgets that fit in thin tubing rather than bulky poaches.

Good Review. Points for those who purchase the figure, you need to look for a good chest emblem, and outfit.

There are some Batman figures with the Black thong and others that look just fine. My figure has Black Boxers as big as the Red Boxers were on the Superman, so the "thong" look varies. The seams on the back of the Removable cowl I received meet perfectly so there is no gap.

Also there is some rubber cement like sticky tack on the inside of the Utility Belt in order to keep it in place in the package. I thought it was permanently glued on but it peels right off. I removed the sticky tack because the belt is just like the original Mego version and does not need the sticky tack to stay on. Plus I don't know how it will react with the clothing over long term contact.

I have to say this is my favorite removable cowl BATMAN figure EVER made (Once you swap out the body).

Oh and of course - the Mattel bodies are terrible and need to be replaced.

That's about as fair a review as Mattel will get. Hopefully they will see that even with a slant to the positive, there is still considerable disdain for the body. I think it's universally panned at this point. We'll see if they continue to be tone deaf to these issues. It shouldn't take five waves to get these issues fixed.
