Just found wave 2 finally on the rack at Toys R Us in Chattanooga TN only found 1 and it was Batman!! Bought this one to display..will buy one and leave it on card...really digging this one though!
Seems they were testing the waters on how to pack the number of figures in each case, IMO.
It would have made sense for wave 1 to pack 3 Supes, 3 GL, 1 Lex and 1 Sin.
Looks like they got the right combination for Wave 2 but I would have done is remove the Supes and add a Batman only if they shipped Wave 1 with the configuration I mentioned.

It's really weird how, based on everyones' local reports here, different TRUs have different characters hanging on the pegs. You'd think the peg-warmer would be the peg-warmer but it seems there isn't one in Wave 2 so far. A good sign for sales perhaps.
I finally seen wave 2 in person at newbury comics. They were 29.99 each but decided I'd wait til I see them at TRU but I thought in person the figures are really great looking!

To all the Dallas TX area Mego fans- I got mine at Keith's Comics on Mockingbird Lane, east of Central Expressway; 214-827-3060. I kept Two Face and Black Manta on Mattel's bodies, after I secured the waist- just like Sinestro. Aquaman is fully switched to Mego (with LJN muscle arms). For Batman, I put the suit and forearms on a Mego/LJN body, and will get my Troy Younger Bat sculpt painted. I'll use the Mattel head for my Chemical King custom.
Still nothing in the Albany area. I may hop in the virtual car and take a ride to Amazon later today. On another note, I'm considering using four of the Mattel bodies on a set of customized retro Beatles action figures. I think they'll work perfectly ...

That's hilarious!... it took me a second or two, though. I was thinking, "Beatles would be cool! Wonder why he wouldn't want to use Doc Mego bodies or something." Then, zing!!

Not TRU - but I did see wave 2 at the beach today. I had the day off today, so the whole troupe went to Rehoboth, DE for some down time. There is a little toy shop there called "Fun for All" and as I was going to enter the shop to look around, I see a boy run up to the window begging for his parents attention stating a few times "I want THAT Batman!". Well, I went inside excited to see wave 2, but left without any as they were selling at the $29.99 price. The kid's parents reaction was "no," too, but boy did he seem excited about it when he saw it. Later in the day I showed my own kids the store window and my son admired it, while my daughter decided that ice cream would be better that a Batman figure.
I havent been to TRU in a while. Are the same old scams still going on where scalpers return stuff they horde and can't sell? MOnths if not years later?
I have not seen that done is a while now. Not to say that it is not still being done. I think a lot of the stores wised up to that idea. Every now and then I will see some older HW's at Wal-Mart hanging on the pegs when they should have been loooong gone. I am talking 1998 - 2000 First Editions and stuff that did not really sell as well as the scalpers, hoarders had thought.
