    Brock Body for Darkseid

With Doc now producing the cool Brock Sampson body, I was wondering whether we'll see these bodies on his website in time to convert our rag-doll Darkseids.

Many of us collectors are already switching our Mattel guys over to Doc bodies and I suspect orders have gone up for traditional mego bodies since wave 1.

It would make sense for Doc to make these modified Hulk bodies available in time for Darkseid's release for those of us who don't want the Hanz & Franz muscles.

Also wouldn't mind seeing Mattel replacement stickers being sold for the our emblems.

Yeah, and I'm worried that the stuffed muscles will cause the elbows and knees to always want to pop back into a straight position. There's a lot of characters that could use a muscle body...I'm surprised Mattel just didn't develop one. Darkseid kinda looks like one of those claw machine toys.

I really hope they reconsider the stuffed body option. "Retro" means muscle body, not plush toy. As mentioned, we need that muscle body for so many characters and stuffing a suit is not a great option. I am very much anticipating Doc's new muscle bodies, I will be buying at least a dozen of them.

Also, I think Darkseid's head sculpt needs a little work. His forehead looks huge, but I think this is only because his eyes are too close together and he doesn't have enough brow. He needs to look a little more evil, and with the plush body, close eyes, and no brow, looks a little weak.

All that said, I will still buy the figure.

The question is, when the doc stocks these bodies, will he have them in green? And will he eventually have them in Gray?

I'm chompin' at the bit for Doc's new muscle bodies myself. Easily will take a dozen, no matter what colors are available.

No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Even if they release these Brock bodies will the outfit on the Mattel Darkseid be able to be taken off and put on this Brock body? I mean does the padding go all the way into the arms down to the fists? If so I can't see how it can be removed from the Mattel body and put on the Brock body???

That's a really good question. I wonder if the padding will be separate, or sewn into the outfit. I hope it's separate.

Actually, I hope they'll abandon the padding idea. Thrilled as I am to get a Mego-scaled Darkseid, really not a fan of representing his size with padding. Even Mego made a separate Hulk/Thing body.

As far as I can tell/see, the "plush" is a lot more minor than what some
are representing it as....it's some padding on a normal body... not a
"plush toy", eh? Doesn't the term "plush toy" connotate a fully stuffed toy
of some sort...like a Teddy Bear or something? The proto looks fine to me...I
imagine the final will better...that said... I'll probably consider a conversion
just the same, if only to a regular EMCE body.

You're right that it's not really a plush toy, but there's a line that's crossed when what's supposed to be a huge imposing character is wearing a suit with fake muscles to increase his size, IMO.

I think Darkseid will work if they use padding/gloves like Toybiz did for the Famous Covers Dr. Doom figure. I really think that would be a good solution to explore.
