I don't know any secrets, but my personal feeling is that chances seem much better than you'd have ever thought. I think there is a trend here, all these guys know each other, all know what the other is up to. To illustrate, here's a shot from the action figure business panel, Scott Neitlich (Mattel), Jason Lenzi (BifBangPow!) and Aaron Archer (Hasbro).
Plus you have this determined bulldog of a man from New York named Dr Mego who just won't let this thing go until everything has been turned into Mego. If he ever gets Hasbro to pay attention you'll get Star Wars Megos one day, I believe it.This profile is no longer active.Comment

Naysayers are eating their words and they will CONTINUE to."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

But isn't Mattel's entire point of changing the name to "Retro Action" and using the Big Jim mold is so Hasbro couldn't jump in with a Marvel wave? They would certainly not go along with the Hasbro using the WGSH card design. It's called market confusion.
This ain't the 70's freestyle toy world anymore. Hasbro is not going to use a DM body because it's technically public domain. They would want some kind of proprietary ownership which then runs you into the R&D patent maze. I'm sure DM will try, but if you don't like the Retro product, lord only knows what Hasbro would have to come out with.Comment

You know seeing Marvel Done by Paul for hasbro would be incredible. I would love to see someone do the Hanna Barbera universe as well , Space Ghost, Birdman, Blue Falcon, Thundarr, Jan & Jace, Shazan, Mightor, and The Herculoids would totally be awesome and very retro. In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

If done right, I'd be al over Blue Falcon and Thundarr. Herculoids would be cool as well but the monsters were the best thing about that show. Gloop and Gleep would rock.
A Krofft series would be tops on my list as well with LOTL leading the charge!

Luckily Hasbro is not the only game in town when it comes to Marvel action figures.
Diamond/Previews already has a relationship with Emce with Star Trek. They also have a relationship with Marvel when it comes to action figures for the direct market.
More than one way to skin a cat here!
Alternatively as well, look overseas. Hot Toys and Medicom are doing incredible things at the 12" scale with both DC and Marvel characters with their collector figures for the Asian market. Imagine if they decided to scale down to jump on the 8" trend? Mindblowing!Comment

All these ideas are great and very possible but just remember...Doc has to walk a fine line with all these companies...he can't just take it upon himself to do something."Thats the ticket laddie"Comment

Battleship Yamato/G-Force comes to mind....
As for the Hanna-Barbera stuff, that to me, was always the most logical, waay before any of these others.Comment
