I'd rather the Retro Heroes not be so mass produced. The pace that they have been released at is quite fine. Maybe a few more Matty exclusives here and there would be ok. MEGO fans want to collect all of these and appreciate them. If they are mass produced, people wont be able to buy them all and it will not be fun anymore.Comment

Guys:
Green Lantern Movie=2011
"Retro"=2011???????????????????????
LOL! Something's not right here guys...come on now. How did I know this was going to happen to this line months ago? No "new" characters! 70s only please. A movie that comes out in 2011 is hardly "retro." If they want to promote the movie, just slap those figures on non-retro cards and don't make them part of the retro set. The point of this line is already starting to get lost in these discussions like this. Or just take the "retro" out of the line's name because modeling charcaters from a 2011 movie doesn't exactly conjure up those great Mego memories of the 70s.Comment

Well how do you define the word "retro" when referencing a Megoesque toy line? You're on the wrong toy board if you think the 70s were boring. That was Mego's glory decade. As far as them agreeing with me, we'll see how good the sales are on Guy Garnder and the yellow Sinestro. I know I'm definitely not buying them.Comment

You misquoted me. I said having 70's only (and I even made "only" in all caps but you still missed it.) would be boring. I love stuff from the 70's, but I would like to see stuff I love from the 80's, and on and on. In fact, I'm just glad these companies don't feel they need to put limits on what they can produce.Last edited by CrimsonGhost; Jul 25, '10, 11:20 AM.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

I define retro the way it applies to these figures, and that is the style of figure: 8" doll with fabric clothes. It does not, and should not, apply to the license.

Either way there is absolutely no way I am dropping $20 a pop on these GL exclusives. I just could care less about any other Green Lanterns except Abin Sur and Hal Jordan in a Megoesque line...but that's just me I guess.Last edited by LOU; Jul 25, '10, 12:30 PM.Comment
