I love accessories!--what determines their inclusion?
Cost per figure, or necessity? Are figure costs averaged across an assortment, as they were with Mego?
Would Mattel consider accessory sets al la barbie or GI Joe? For example, batarangs/batropes/batcomputer, or Kandor/raygun/Phantom Zone projector?
Just curious...

Superman And Batman
Cmon folks I can take Superman and Batman are the high ranking heroes here.
Superman / Batman
Green Lantern / Flash
Aquaman
Wonder Woman / Shazam
Green Arrow
I buy the villians too but I just don't get a smile from them. :-)Leave a comment:

Actually, not knowing enough about Captain Cold, he's my 2nd favorite in the line, after my previous gushing statement about Shazam. All those cool accessories made him a fun one to work on and I hope we have more accessory-laden characters coming up.Leave a comment:

Flash
Wonder woman
Shazam
Flash Gordon
Ming
I would have liked to see a Robin, nightwing, Batgirl, over some of the other choices but I understand the need to expand the universe rapidly...I see a few of these being Peg warmers, but I'm sure the rest of the line will keep it from sinking. My tastes do not rule the DC universe, much to my dismay.Last edited by Fuzzysnail; Jul 26, '10, 4:31 PM.Leave a comment:

I just posted this in another thread, but I think it fits better here:
Most of the main figures I've complained about Mego never having made are being addressed in this line: Lex Luthor, The Flash & Green Lantern were the top three on my list.
I really like the fact that The Legion of Doom has been represented as well as they have - all but one villain from the first 3 waves were members of The Legion of Doom!
I was surprised to see Black Manta, but since he's from The Legion of Doom, I think it's awesome that they made him. The Wonder Woman / Cheetah combo is also a great choice for me. Since I've always wanted a Flash and since Captain Cold was one of my favorites (plus he was in The Legion of Doom), I'm REALLY looking forward to Wave 3!
I understand the choice of Two-Face for the Batman villain (since he wasn't made by Mego and was in the last movie), but I would have preferred Scarecrow (he was in a recent movie, he was in The Legion of Doom, & Mego didn't make him). However, I also understand that he isn't as popular as Two-Face, so the decision made sense even though he wouldn't have been my first choice.
Personally, I'm not as excited about Wave 4. I've never been a Derksied fan, but I do think it's great that there is a Martian Manhunter since he's truly a main character in the JLA (and for the record, I like the green suit - it's very Mego!) I also think Shazam and Black Adam are very well done and look cool. However, these aren't as high on my personal list as more Batman characters and the rest of The Legion of Doom would have been.
Personally, these are the characters that I would want to see in Wave 5 and on:
Poison Ivy
Batgirl
Scarecrow
Solomon Grundy
Bizarro
Brainiac
Giganta
Gorilla Grodd
Toyman
Riddler
Joker
Regardless of what else is coming, I just hope that Wave 2 does well enough for Wave 3 to hit the shelves. But even if I don't see a single figure past the ones I already have, at least I now have a Lex Luthor and a Green Lantern to go with my Megos!Leave a comment:

I'm gonna pick Wonder Woman. At this time the only other Mattel Mego-esque figure I own is Green Arrow. If the prices dropped about half I'd probably own the entire first wave. My wife and kids were won over with Wonder Woman so that's why I'd pick her above the rest and I'll most likely have to buy multiple WW figures for the family.
One other funny thing was hearing my wife and kids ask, "Why does WW have blue bracelets?" so I showed them how the Mego figure made the bracelets blue on the cloth body, but I wonder if that's something only intended for the prototype instead.Leave a comment:

I like Guy Garder. I have always liked the character and am glad to see him get a figure.
Allthough I grew up on Superfriends I like to see a newer hero added in once in a while. There is not enough of Guy Garder out there to get. I say lets have a variant of Guy as the Warrior.
The Venture Brothers Phantom Limb - and that's based on looks alone, I've never seen him in an ep,
Guy Gardiner, because the 80s JL book is where I first learned of the character and the prototype nailed that look, and
Sinestro Corps Sinestro because the figure looks great, the design is tied to a great modern story, and is part of the current GL reanaissance that's part of the push to make Hal Jordan recognizeable and GL iconic to the public at large.Last edited by spamn; Jul 26, '10, 10:12 PM.Leave a comment:

For some reason I am really digging Captain Cold. He is very sharp looking.Leave a comment:

I'm very surprised to be saying this, but my favorite would have to be Captain Cold. They did a great job with him. I'm also really looking forward to Captain Marvel and Black Adam . . . loving that gold! As much as I like all of the new figures revealed this week, I don't think that the line will ever top Two-Face. That figure is an instant classic.Leave a comment:
