Yes there are - but it's not important. The Toy Fair version was
approved without changes and has already gone to China for
tooling. I just got a look at the sample outfit before leaving
    for San Diego.

The Salt Vampire at San Diego was just made for display
    with the other revised prototypes.

This Pike sculpt looks very good. However, the head looks proportionally big in this picture. Can someone tell me if it's the angle of the shot that gives it that appearance? I've noticed the big head effect in some of the other 8" format line; such as "Lost and Twilight Zone" figures. Hope they could be fixed to proper scale when they go into production. I'm aiming to buy me a few of each.

I'm really liking how these prototypes have turned out so I'm looking forward to the production run releases.

Speaking of which... any word on where these will be available when they are released?

Off to China??? Then this means that the first version of Nurse Chapel made was sent there???? COOOOOLLLLL!!!!! She looked a whole lot more accurate in face sculpture to Majel Barrett than the one just shown in the Con pics!!! (Im buying two - one to reroot the hair black, style it and change uniform to make her a Number One for Pike!!!!!!)
Thanks Paul and EMCE for giving us Star Trek Megos they never made!!!!!!!
...next ones???? Talosian, Normal Vina, Tellarite, Ruk, Harry Mudd, Janice Rand,.........

Ray - I'm not sure how you are making that leap of logic, but you may want to check out the video below. Pay particular attention at the 0:50 mark. It sounds to me like the softer Chapel sculpt shown at the Con is the one they are going with.

I look forward to Vina and Vampire.

These new protos look great. I am so looking forward to these, I hope the TRek line can keep going. I'd love to see more trek, not that i really want to post a wish list since I know people get annoyed by that, but if the Treks keep going DST involved how about some Star Trek II Wrath Of Khan or Star Trek The Next Generation, Even more TOS as well. It seems that these appeal to mego fans as well as Trek fans alike so the possibilities are certainly there.

You welcome. Glad to help, but sorry to disappoint. As Meule said, Paul was only referring to the Salt Vampire when he said "approved without changes." The other 3 have been revised since Toy Fair.

Personally, I think they are all looking pretty good. Can't wait to get 'em for myself!
