I just returned to my hotel from walking the show and I made a point to check out the Mattel booth to see what was new with this line and I can honestly say that is one beautiful toy. **

Plus I happened to be shooting a photo when I looked right up at Dr. Mego himself. I have never met anyone more enthused about what he does than Paul (Doc, I hope I may call you Paul) I was very impressed with his knowledge and overall love for the toys he creates, that is rare in this industry. He truely does care about every aspect of these things.*

I was told by my co workers attending that I was missing for about an hour, that was probably the best hour of the con, I really enjoyed our conversation. Oh yeah, Paul if you are reading this I left today with a Batman and a Aquaman for my collection. Thought you might get a kick out of that. *

Thanks again for taking the time to talk toys with me. *

          NICE!

Looks good! Glad I already ordered one. I would of liked the eagle emblem but the lasso, the hair, the face mold and yes even the body looks good! Great sign for the rest of the female superheroes. Bring on Batgirl and Supergirl!

She looks good and there is leg articulation. It's visible in the pic of her left side.

My wife, two daughters, and myself think she looks great as is. I hope the final product doesn't differ too much from the prototype. I'm very happy DM and Mattel chose the SDCC for a very exciting reveal!

I admit I was a little leery about how Wonder Woman might turn out. But I think she looks pretty good. Very '70s-ish. Looking forward to seeing the final product.

I agree. I'm not crazy about the whole "faded" look some of the figures in this line have. Are they meant to look distressed, like the cards? There is such a thing as a mint Mego, Mattel!

The world needs more happy, smiling Superheroes! (Batman gets a pass though.)

They should cut the top red instead of a V shape. And an eagle instead,...but its an awesome figure! if it comes like the prototype,...the red top gets cut straight or heart shape like the Super Friends WW!!! I love this figure!!!! Lets see CHEETA now!

Call me anything but late for dinner!

Wonder Woman does have bendable knees, the costume is a one piece
with clear straps, and the legs are bare(!).

Getting the look of this character was extremely important to me since
that my daughter Gwen is almost 8. She and her friends will be the
prime target for this figure. I didn't want a manish WW or a sex doll,
so I went to a female sculptor with experience working for
Disney, Nickelodeon, Marvel, etc. to make a real woman who exudes
                    confidence, grace, and strength.

That's awesome. Wondy turned out great.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Don't know if anyone posted this elsewhere, but Michael Crawford took a big pic of WW and has it posted at his site:

Lots of great images here. The best pics I've seen yet:

Thanks for that prospective Doc! I have three girls (no boys). I am looking forward to WW and other future female superheros. I know my daughters will appreciate and play with them. As a parent who is looking for toys that convey positive messages to young girls, I think this may have nailed it! Super-heroines are strong characters who are confident, self reliant and don't need boys to rescue them etc. etc. This WW figure has a feminine body without looking out of proportion (Barbie anyone?) or like a porn star. The top, which has been a source of much nitpicking (which I agree with most as a collector) is actually a bit more modest and appeals to the parent in me.

Looking at the pic above, I will say I hope they improve upon the hands. She can't hold her cool removable lasso!
