How often are toys made like Retro Action Heroes ?

How often are toys made like Retro Action Heroes ?

I'm not sure what exactly the nuts and bolts of the relationship is but Dr Mego and EMCE clearly have a hand in the Retro Action Heroes line even though they are put out by Mattel.

My question is, are a lot of toys put out like this ? ... Or are most toys put out in house and this is a unique tag-team.

Not trying to stick my nose too far into their business affairs, just wondering generally if this kind of partnership is common in the toy world ?

    Thanks

its unique in many ways one toy company asking for help from another is one.
But not uncommon. Marx did manufacturing and mold making for other companies.
and some toy companies have the sole Import License in overseas countries so other companies have sell there products through them.
,they already known that toybiz and Hasbro struck out there versions.R&D always pick up other companies toys to see the quality , and workmen ship and so fourth, in order to to make retro work they needed the advice from someone who suceeded in the area.since EMCE really does not apose a real threat like Hasbro.they were a likely choice.
    IMO

I don't know anything about this partnership or how unique it is, but if anyone is gonna make 8" Megolike figures it only makes sense to seek out help from the #1 authority in the business: Doc Mego
