Just called my local TRU up in New Jersey

The guy said they only have wave 1 and they expect nothing new until the next truck comes in next Wednesday

The guy must have known what I was talking about because he said, OH, THE MEH-GOS ?

So nothing around these parts until at least next week -- maybe

Meh-gos, that's what my wife's family calls them. Must be a Jersey thing.

I lived in Jersey for 16 years, and I miss having 5 TRU's within a reasonable driving distance (Union, Woodbridge, Wayne, Paramus, Brunswick.) I can remember "questing" for Kenner 12" BTAS figures and going to all five in one afternoon!

Now the closest TRU is 1.5 hours away:(

Checked in with both the Little Rock and North Little Rock TRU's. LR had 4 each of Lex and Sinestro while NLR had 1 Lex and 3 Sinestros. All were still at the $19.99 MSRP darn it! I would have bought 'em "just cuz" had they been on sale.

Stopped in the closest TRU today. 1 peg with 3 sinestro and 1 lex. Just left overs, cards are getting kinda beat looking.

I hear "May-go" all over the country, and when I press people why they use that pronunciation, they all answer "Doesn't it rhyme with 'Lego'?"

...much to the chagrin of Marty Abrams' lawyers, I might add.

I had no idea it was Mee-Go until I joined this site. I thought it did rhyme with Lego before that. Sometimes I still slip back to that.

For the most part the people that call them Meh-Go's are the younger crowd because they never seen the TV commercials drilling the proper pronunciation in our heads.

Nobody that grew up in the 70's and had a television say's Meh-Go's

I say Meh-Go. I grew up n the 70's, saw all the commercials, I KNOW it's Me-Go, but I've never been about to break myself of the Meh-Go habit!

I grew up in the 70's as well, have been saying Meh-go for 30 years. I only realized it was Mee-go this year from this site. I tried to break the habit also, but my little girls kept telling me "it's Meh-go" since they have been hearing me say it for years now.

IMO, The cards have always been kinda beat looking.
