A few STAR TREK questions

Forgive me if this was already asked recently but if it was I don't see where.

1. As of now is the Star Trek line going to continue ?

2. If so, any idea how many more waves are coming ?

3. Will anymore James Brady sculpts be used ?

4. Any idea what charcters WILL be made ?

5. When will we see some pictures of them ?

The next wave has been announced as Pike, Chapel, Vina and Salt Vampire. They are due towards the end of the year. Pics are out there. Don't know anything past this wave but I believe there will be more after these.

I notice that DST Chuck mentioned in this week's Q&A at artasylum.com that The Next Generation comes up from time to time in their line up plans. That would sure be nice! How would you approach the characters from this line drmego? Who would you like to see go in a first wave? How would you design their phasers, tricorders and communicators and keep them retro-like? I would really love to see TNG and all the other Trek shows re-megoed!

I don't have anything against Next Generation but I think a line of Next Gen, DS9, Voyager or Enterprise would bomb badly.

There just isn't the interest out there as there used to be when they were being aired new.

The Classic Series, on the other hand has been pretty consistent.

Right on Mikey! That is definitely where the hardcore Fan interest is...and the BEST bet for Retailers, who want their Product to sell.

Sure TOS sells, but they are going to run out of characters sooner or later. I would be all for some series accurate aliens from TOS before they move on to TNG. Namely Romulans, Klingons, Andorians, Tellerites and a Mugatu ; but, I'd definately pick up some characters from TNG as well! The only reason I quit getting TNG figures from DST was because of inconsistancy in figure scales. Picard was way to tall next to Kirk and Spock. That drove me nuts. Mego bodies would be better for displaying the various crews side by side! I think that the whole scale dilema, subconciously drove away many collectors!

I want to see more crew and aliens from TOS and Pike's Crew and aliens before even thinking of moving into any of the other shows.

I'd also like to see the rest of James Brady's figures realized including Commodore Decker, Kor, Kang, Gary Seven and Sarak.

Have you checked Wyldpny's TOS customs?
Granted, not all of the characters are interesting or known enough to be made, but there's still enough of them to keep the line going for quite a while

Yes! I too would like to see some more series "accurate" Costumes. Like the Andorian & the Romulan. Since they already have the Figures made...it shouldn't be that exspensive for a Costume change?
