What happens if Batman is a bust?

Doesn't anyone think if we all gong batman we are in official trouble with this line? I really think they should make both removable and non removable masks.

What happens if Batman is bust? It'll send Mattel a clear message, that we expect better.

I don't see that as a possibility really. Dealers for the secondary market will snatch up enough to justify the line plus all of us who have gotten started collecting these new ones will succumb just to complete the collection. But with all that sad it is only my opinion. Still I can't see the Batman sinking. He's really not that bad.

This is Batman we are talking about, I'd be shocked if we don't end up with loads of different versions.

Besides, even if you don't like it, you have to be honest enough to admit there has been a heck of a lot worse Batman figures over the years. If bright yellow and neon pick Batman variants couldn't kill those lines, this one sure the heck isn't going kill this line. Personally, I think Two Face and Manta will probably sell the least in this wave.

Some of you guys worry too much.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

What happens if Batman is a bust?

I don't think it will be.

The prototype clearly shows a full torso, legs and arms

This Batman will not be a bust.

He looks like the Brave and the Bold cartoon Batman, which means children wanting him... and parents buying him.

Yeah, first off it's not that bad. Seriously, it's not that bad.

second, you're trying to convince us that the most popular character in all of comics won't sell?

I'm just assuming that Batman will be the figure that sells the most in any scenario. He is Batman after all and has the most media presence of any of the DC Superheroes, and I would guess the most amount of collector's who would pick it up no matter what he looked like. Put Batman along with any other two heroes in the line down in front of a kid and I think most would grab the Batman by familiarity alone.

I actually like the look of the new Retro Action Batman. All I need are a pair of the blue shorts from Dr. Mego to give him the Filmation/SuperFriends style look and I have always loved the Removable Cowl figure myself. So I doubt he will be a bust and I know I will definitely be buying him.
                          Cheers.

Wouldn't kids want a batman that looks like the movie batman? Not some old cartoon or comic version?

No, they would likely want a Batman that is more like Brave and the Bold, which is likely the most recent Batman they've seen.
