Nutty idea ... That 70's Show figures

Was just watching That 70's Show reruns last night and thought to myself how much it reminds me of re-Megos.

It would only be natural to reMego the re-70's show

Also, the show in syndication has become a mega-hit.

It's a no brainer figures would be a hit.

    Whatcha think ?

I don't think the market is there for them....Married with Children was a big hit at one time too, including syndication...Happy Days, Brady Bunch and I Love Lucy were even bigger....How did those go over exactly for CTVT?

I don't think you can compare them to CTVT's ...
      Reasons ...

CTVT's were not sold in real stores
      CTVT's quality were lousy
CTVT's chose lines that WERE popular but fizzled by the time the figures were released.

70's show is as hot now as it was when it was new.

^ There are still fan bases out there for those shows...quality issues aside. I think overall the sitcom idea is a dead market for action figures and don't have any "play value", just my opinion.

And around here, That 70s Show has already been pushed to time slots like 12:30-1:00 am...It doesn't seem to have the staying power of a Seinfeld or Friends which are still in better time slots, years later.

I would seriously consider Buying a Red, Chong and Kelso figure...., even more so, if they came with voice chips..., And Red Talked about his Foot, and Someone's Arse.

Mike, I think you're overestimating the franchise... still...it's no lightweight,
and after witnessing those CTVT gambles, its as good as gamble as any I guess.

It can't be no worse than doing Lost or Venture Bros figures.

So you mean no chase figures of the "That 70s Show" spin-off "That 80s Show"? Or worse yet, no "Two and a Half Men"? No "Spin City"? No "Cosby Show"? No "Roseanne"? Next thing you'll be saying is there is no room for a line of "Everybody Loves Raymond" or "Family Matters" either...

You may be right...I'm still shocked ANY of those are getting made...
especially in "doll" (clothed figure) form, as opposed to more accurate/pretty
                  collectible fully molded plastic figures.

As far as what some are saying here about these things only being for
adults these days...and sitcom figures not having much play value...if
ONLY these dolls were put in a time machine and sent back to us 70s kids....
we would never be above putting Barbarino in the Batmoblie for a drive
with Bats, or having Ralph Malph lend a hand to The Joker in kicking the
                  Dynamic Duo's butts

Today's kids are spoiled with too many options.

Seriously tho, I think Anthony is right. Sitcom doesn't work as 8" action figures

                        Hmmmm....

It's a weird idea, but I think it's about ten years too late. Or too early. Maybe when the big budget movie comeback gets made. (You KNOW it's gonna happen.)

You're right ~ The only exception was vintage Fonzie, but that was when the show was hitting it's stride..
