Wave 1 sales exceeded expectations. Green Arrow sold out in three weeks
    both times.

The only other places to buy them retails for $25.00.

    Plastic... petroleum... oil spill... $$$

Any excuse to jack the prices up.

I hope this isn't gonna be the general rule for these from now on. Huge mistake if you ask me, this is definitely gonna kill the line. I hope the Doc can shed some light on this

No disrespect to the line but the figures aren't worth anything over $12.00

They're just plastic and cloth like any other figure

If this ends up being a price increase across the board at TRUs for Retro-Action it's gonna kill the line IMO. These went from being initially hard to score every figure during the initial release to them being peg warmers, especially the two villains. A price increase is going to make this line more stagnant.

They are going the wrong way with the price.
They would sell more volume and make more in gross if they went a couple of bucks the other direction. Unless there is a minimum price set by Matty, online vendors can cut the sales of TrU on this.

My TRU (Akron, OH) still has them at $20.

I think an increase is a mistake, as I still see villain peg-warmers.

Additionally, my comics shop tells me they are not moving as well as EMCE Trek did...

I'm REALLY looking forward to wave 2, though!!

20 bucks is my upper limit on anything NEW under 12", that isn't a premium figure, or produced by a small company.

Retro Action just slid in under that, but anything over that is too much, and I will not pay it.

Seriously? They were overpriced at 20 bucks! Jesus....this hobby has gotten so expensive. I've found the ONLY way to get the toys I want without having to feel guilty about buying them all is to purchase them off of ebay or a message board after somebody has grown tired of them or is selling them off cheap.

I got almost the entire line of Kingdom Come and Alex Ross's Justice figures for 10 bucks each but had to wait a few years to acquire them all because I HATE paying 25ish bucks for a NEW figure. An original mego or vintage figure? Yeah, that's not a problem. Something NEW? No way.

I've paid 15 bucks for a couple of DCUCs and it felt high. I don't even know how people buy those little marvel things at 8 bucks a pop.

    Back on topic....NOT COOL.

started a topic TRU raises price on "retro-action" figures

TRU raises price on "retro-action" figures

Was in TRU yesterday and it's that time of year again.....prices are getting raised on a store wide range...since "retro" is selling well it's fair game...they're going from $19.99 to $22.99...I was told not ever store is increasing their prices but most are...wave 2 is due out any time now so this is a bummer...I know Mattel feels the retro figures are worth more than this so the price will probably stick......every one chime in and lets see how many stores are affected
