I bought a Retro Lex a while back (2 months ago) for my son. I gave it to him yesterday to open. While playing with my son, I noticed that Lex's nose was significantly flattened out from being inside the blister. It looks to be permenant, too. My son could care less about the flattened nose and really loves the figure! There where no oily marks on the inside of the blister when I originally bought the figure and still there were none as of yesterday. I didn't even think his nose was touching the blister when I bought it. I have another set of all the retro figures (all are opened) and none have the flattened nose. My suggestion is to open the figures and store them in a plastic bag away from any pressure on their faces.

Could you resculpt the nose a bit by heating it up a little?

^Per Meule, a simple way to restore flattened noses on vinyl heads is to dunk them in steaming-hot water for a few seconds; this will restore the shape.

I've tried it on recent 12-inch Joes with success.
