    Hey Doc, any playset plans?

I know you have a gag order for most of this stuff. I wouldn't even have to know WHAT playset, just are there gonna be any?

Here's hoping, but I think the costs involved and the price tag aren't favorable

Outside Barbie and Hotwheels, Mattel really doesn't mess with playsets.

I'd be thrilled with a Mego-scaled Ghostbuster Hearse. Can you imagine?

I'd love to see more original & reissue playsets--I thought the Diamond Enterprise Bridge was terrific!

What about something fairly inexpensive that still has play value, like a figure carry-case that opens into a small playset?
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I'm imagining a Fire House playset akin to the WGSH Wayne's Foundation that I can park the Ecto 1 inside!

Doc would take a big hit in the pocket book if he created/submitted play sets. My daughter has an imagination beyond anything I have ever seen. She has gathered tons of Barbie/GI Joe and other various things from junk stores and created some pretty interesting play sets for under 30 bucks (Add paint and stickers made with the computer) Kids with imagination will build things beyond anything a toy company can assemble cheaply (and make it look good and less hazardous to children.)
Remember that kid that made that Beneath the Planet of the Apes play set back in the 70s?

Here's a funny story from the panel we did with Marty Abrams and Chuck Terceira
from DST at NY Comicon last February - that was filmed but the video has
                vanished.

Chuck was mentioning how hard it was to get China to make the Enterprise just
like MEGO. Marty chuckled and said "we never made them in China - it was made
here in the U.S. - the freight cost is too high and China doesn't know how to
                do it right."

So lately we are exploring domestic solutions to see if we can make small runs
on some items without involving China.

DOC, That's fantastic!! Sounds like a great start to bringing toy manufacturing back to the states!! Then in 10 or 20 years we can go and find the warehouse that they were made in

I'm glad it's at least being considered. I still would REALLY like a Mission to Gamma 6 set, and I know w/ all the Retro Action guys coming out, some of us would groove on a new Wayne Foundation or Hall Of Justice set.

I think the best option for playsets is what Scott is already doing.
Blank standard structures with removeable panels - this allows
for modular development depending on your display space and
the ability to customize on a whim (and it keeps us from getting
                      in trouble with license holders).

Now you're talking. Scott's Dida displaysets are really cool. It'd be awesome if EMCE could do something similar
