How about Star Trek The Next Generation as Megos?

Since it was brought up in the ST movie thread.

How about Picard, Data, Riker and co?

And such wonderful Aliens as well.

or do you think they are better off as Playmates style figures?

I would buy them. I never really liked the playmates. There are are so many cool aliens. I definitely think there are enough fans.

I'd absolutely snag a TNG line, as well as a DS9 and Voyager line, too. Can't have too much Trek! Plus, c'mon, an 8" Patrick Stewart? Make it so!
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

I love the OS but have to admit, The Next Generation was always my favorite. Captain Picard just seemed like the exact person you'd want to have in charge -- intelligent, decisive, a commanding presence but also compassionate. Patrick Stewert played him perfectly.

I'm a big fan of the '88 Galoob line, but by the time the Playmates unrolled en masse I'd stopped buying toys for a while. So yes, I wanna see these!

No thanks, TNG blew chunks. It really aged poorly, and doesnt seem to have near the following it used to 15 years ago.

That said, if they made 'em, I would probably buy them.....I'm despicable!

This would please me even though I have customs of them already.

I really don't see a huge market for these. Trek seems to losing more and more interest as of late. TOS figures seems to be the only series that has some potential for a market, but not the others.

Well, only of they released a Enterprise-D playset as well. To me, that was the problem w/ the Playmates 9" figures. It reduced their play value. Even the small figures and the Inner Space figures had playsets. But nothing for the 9" ones. So EMCE and/or Mattel should release a playset.

As long as they do an Admiral McCoy,I've got no problems with this as a line.

I'd go out of my way to get all the Enterprise D crew! A Bridge Playset would be one I'd get for sure too. I often feel like I "grew up" on the Enterprise D. I shed tears when it crashed in Generations. Even though it was a really great crash and the Enterprise E is a much cooler ship. 1701 D has a place in my heart.

They should make Picard in that suede Starfleet jacket he wore near the end of the run. I really liked the look of that.
