Those Emergency Figures are great! I would love to have a West and Ward figure. What about Wild Wild West I loved that show when I was a kid, also A-Team and Lost in space. I wish we had more POTA figures like Brent and Taylor. I'm waiting on the new Pike and Chapel for sure.Comment

What about Enterprise figures? Archer, Trip, T'pol, Reed, Hoshi, Phlox, and Travis. That would be colorfull.Comment

This format works best on colorful characters - the best received ones have
vibrant colors and non-standard features.
Waltons, Dukes, Brady Bunch, Happy Days, StarskyHutch - all not very
desireable.
Superheroes, Apes, Trek, knights, pirates, RobinHood - all highly sought after.

I would like to see something brand new, what about an original concept created by Doc and the mego community. Just make em up with bright colors and they could be adventurers, space explorers, superheroes, or whatever!!! Kinda like the dime store knock offs. Come up with 5 characters, they can be human, alien, robotic, have a female, and an enemy. These will be of high quality like megos because they are EMCE. Just use the stuff you already have at your disposal and come up with 5 original head sculpts that will be squishy rotocast. I think they would be great in any collection.Comment

I have tried public domain characters and no one wanted them.
Jay Piscopo is doing just that with Commander X and I know EXACTLY
how many of those he is selling.
AAAAA tried JJ and the Space Patrol but I doubt he has sold more
than 100 of them.
The fact is that people want licensed characters that they have
an emotional attachment to.Comment

my figures are really aimed for kids of collectors,I was the first to offer cost effective
generic megolike product line with Paul given me a fantastic Volume deal . and I wanted to give more bang of the buck to the customer,Giving the collector / child more than just a figure but a Playset, I first wanted have robot companion with figure or robot enemy.but that would sent the price to high, so settle for BIG ugly bugs ( creation of Dr kromdome) which were Very cost effective from china in high volume.
I am just not good with a computer enough to promote the figures and 5 year lawsuit with putnam county has really hampered me also.Last edited by AAAAA; Apr 16, '10, 3:09 PM.Comment

I have to agree with Doc on the emotional attachment to the Characters. I mean...we collect because of nostalgia. so a Figure has to be more than 8" in scale to get me to buy it....it has to bring back fond memories of being a Kid(like EMCE's Star Trek Line).sigpicComment

We're working on mego-izing everything. We will work with anyone who wants
to see their characters in the classic MEGO format.Comment

Without revealing details, Paul...
Have you seen an increase in people seeking you out to develop their license? Has there been a significant uptick in inquiries now that a varied product is hitting the public?
I would imagine that even if they don't all pan out, you might be able to speak to a trend based upon the buzz the EMCE is getting.Comment
