    Question about Waves

    How do waves work?

Will wave 2 also include figures from wave 1?

I assume if my local TRU happens to be out of wave 1 figures, I assume that down the line more wave1 figures will eventually be shipped. Just a matter of time?

That's the way it SHOULD work but, sadly, I don't think the toy business works that way anymore. If the way Mattel ships the DCUC figures is any indication, when Wave 2 hits, it will only be Wave 2 on the pegs.

I really miss the days when a company would continue to pack in older figures with new releases. You could count on being able to buy a Mego Batman or Superman with no trouble in 1973 all the way up to 1979, or so.

These days, it's "buy it when you see it" or you'll probably be missing the character in your collection whether it's a popular character or not. Sometimes, though, Mattel will do a "greatest hits" type of rerelease of a character with slightly different colors or what-not.

Doc Mego has said on this forum that Wave 1 will continue to be shipped with Wave 2 and 3.

Probably the only toyline since Mego to ship this way. I hope it aids sales performance enough to convince them to do other toylines in the same manner, actually.
