I did record the Thursday show on DVD, but now with that newfangled YouTube,
it seems kind of pointless!

Oh well, I'll keep it for the EMCE archives. The book I keep threatening to
write one day about all this may end up being DVD anyway. Print is dead,
or so they say.

Not sure on this but this sounds like we (the online buyers) will be able to get the one pictured and just not the clear green headed version.

That is correct. Mattel likes to have convention exclusives that are truly exclusive to the event. Last year they created an uproar by making the monkey sidekick of the Wonder Twins exclusive to the event and even then not everyone in attendance could get one.

Likewise, their DC exclusives, Plastic Man and the Justice League 5-pack, have extras only available in person at the con.

It's going to be expensive and/or frustrating to track down the variant Peter. Maybe we should start a list of people who WANT one, just in case someone buys the figure and doesn't want the variant. The figures will likely be blind boxed.
