How about the Hanna Barbera Superheroes?

I'd buy all of the Hanna Barbera characters if they made them.

Figures like the HB Superfriends are already game for Mattel, but I would love to have characters like Space Ghost, Birdman, and the other classic HB space heroes (although Herculoids wouldn't really work without the larger creatures). I'd add in the Teen Force from the 80's revival, as well.

As for Sealab 2020, yes, I'd love those, and think they'd work great as Megos, but I'd want them from the original show. The Cartoon Network show was definitely not my cup of tea (but then most of the Adult Swim stuff isn't).

I think this is the beauty of the Mego format. Instead of tooling of two separate sculpts, you get the same head and then dress them up to suit the two consumer groups with different packaging.

Straight up Birdman for us...

Here is a question... IS there a difference between the way the Sealab 2020 characters look compared to Sealab 2021? I think the only difference might be wacky accessories if we are talking about the regular figures.

I would love most Hanna Barbera Adventure Cartoon characters to appear as Megos. I can't think of any I wouldn't buy, except for Captain Caveman.

Just a side by side comparison. If they did tool up Dinomutt, that pretty much opens up Scooby Doo doesn't it? Different head sculpt. Same body.

No, they are the same characters, I have the whole original series on tape, as well as this picture on a t-shirt (no, I didn't make it, I bought it). That's why I bought this shirt...I don't like the Adult Swim version either, but I do like the characters from the original.

I would be down wth all of the HB Heroes, Herculoids, Mightor, Space Ghost (Zan, Jayna, Gleek) BIrdman etc. Maybe a Johnny Quest line as well. Not so much scooby doo though. Was never huge into that as a kid....

My son would love a Scooby Doo Mego line. It's one of his current favorite shows. He loves the ghost diver guy and the mummy that says, "Coin! Coin!"

You'd just have to get a custom Sealab 2020 box or card made, and throw away the booze bottle accesories (or give them to Mego Iron Man).

Truthfully, I never knew they made these. But yes, they'd be the same characters, and I'd just chuck the goofy extras.
