Lots o' questions/thoughts and praise for the new line

I'm new to these boards. After stumbling upon the new Retro toys at a local store, I wanted to talk to someone about my great find. My family and immediate good budies weren't that enthusiastic...so I found this website.

Anyway, like all of you, I'm thrilled, thrilled to see these new toys. There great. So very happy to be able to buy a Mego(ish) Superman.

Like some of you, I have a few minor complaints...feel of the body in particular...but I don't want to sound "ungrateful". To have a Mego figure in my hands again makes any minor complaints seem small in comparison.

Oh, yeah. And the price. I'd almost wish they were more cookie-cutter if the price was cheaper or if they made more characters.

    - How did this line come together? How did it happen? I've been looking for some info...but all I found was "a major annoucement" would happen at a convention and then of course the annoucement came.

    - I understand that the original Mego creators are not directly involved but gave teh project their blessings. I would hope they'd get a piece of the profits because without their original vision we wouldn't have these kind of toys.

    - I've seen Mego-ish knock-offs in the past...Marvel had done them a few years back with a few of their characters...I wonder why those didn't take off and these seem to be a hit.

    - I think its a great idea to for the waves to be a hero and villain and another hero and their villain. Good business decision. Instead of just having 4 heroes.

    - Is there any way we'll see a Batmobile or a Batcave? Have they hinted that could be in the works...or is that unlikely?

    - I wonder how these became Toys R Us exclusives as opposed to just being sold primarily to comic book stores and online.

-How come these figures are so pricey? Is it because the quantities they are going to sell relatively low and the costs per figure are relatively high? $30 for Lex Luthor? Bit high. Makes me less likely to get every villain.

I have more questions...but...am really so happy and thrilled and stoked to see these toys.

Big thanks to the folks who made them.

More characters are being made, but the price will
    not go down.

When I write the book about this years from now, you
    will hear the full story.

Marty Abrams gets an honorium from EMCE.

We were very lucky that TRU wanted to carry these.
