How do you want Mattel to handle Robin?

We already have the sprang/superfriends look. And Mego Robins are cheap and plentiful.
From Mattel, I'd love to see a modern robin - with the black/yellow/red long pants costume and staff. 7" body, painted mask, but a non-masked head available for sale through mattycollector or Dr. Mego.
Giving props to Bruce Timm's influence of course.
As Iconic as Dick Grayson is, Tim is one of my favourite characters, and I would like to see Dick much more in his Nightwing gear.
Anyone else want Nightwing? Which version?Last edited by samurainoir; Apr 7, '10, 12:35 PM.Comment

And I always thought the animated Teen Titans look was a great balance between tradition and contemporary. Up to and including the short cape! I might trade the heavy kicker boots for the ninja toe boots that Tim originally wore though.

I think they'll deifinitely go with the classic "I dressed up the sidekick in pixie boots" look, as everything in the line is evoking the 70's. I don't know if Mattel is planning on doing a teen body, but I'd really like that version, especially if the rest of the classic Titans are in the plans. It was one of the major holes in the Mego line, with adult sized Robin and teen sized Titans.Comment

I have to admit that I'm of the same mind. As short-lived as this looks was, it is definitely my favourite.

As far as Nightwing goes, I'm a big fan of his current design:
The other costumes are just too goofy for my aesthetic.Comment

Costume wise, I hope they stick to the classic Robin look as seen on the Superfriends. Since the other figures seem to be following the 70's trend, I don't want Robin to be a modern version. Nothing against the look he had as he evolved, but shorts or not, classic Robin is the best in my opinion.

I'd like to see both a classic Robin and one in the Tim Drake suit (with the green)
My favorite Robin figure is from DC Directs Titans line.

If it has to be 70s, at least give us Earth 2 Robin. Not that I think that'd happen.Comment

The fact that he showed that those were not just green speedos, but a one piece top and bottom short sleeve skinsuit makes absolute sense for a former circus kid pulling the acrobatics that he did. Vest and Cape over top of that and voila. Even better if they retconned that vest into kevlar. Even better when they revealed that the Robin costume was based on the Flying Graysons' circus outfits.Comment
