    Repairing Uhura's pelvis

Hey, need some advice here. I noticed the pelvis on my Uhura figure was splitting on the left side, so I removed the boots/leggings to see if I could glue it back together. Before they were even off, the pelvis came apart and the legs have been sucked up into the abdomen--the tension on the rubber bands is very tight. So two questions: can the tension be lessened, and what's the best stuff to use for gluing this kind of plastic back together? Would superglue work OK or is there something better to use? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

    Superglue or plastic model cement.

The best glue for the torso or pelvis is an ABS glue since they are made
      from ABS plastic.

The tension on the bands can be lessen by turning the arms
counterclockwise. Sometimes the assembler got carried away.
