I checked IMDB. I think I might have seen it twenty tears ago or so. I don't remember it at all.Comment

I've said this many times - the vice is the key. Or a hammer.Like M.A.S.K.?

If you want to save the head, I've found that some small spools of thread are just the right size to make a replacement plug.
I did this with my GA, I trimmed off the excess left from the original plug and from the inside of the neck. Then, I inserted the empty spool into the neck hole. I also had to trim a little off the neck hole on the CAT body I wanted to use, but that was easy enough to do.
A wooden dowel rod 1/2" in dia. would work just as wellComment

Ok,enyawd Lets stop defending Mattel, It is now more then obvious that the figures are bad, there are way to many defects and problems with them. There is no room for a learning curve on these items ( as another member put it as well as I in the past) if they were not ready, they should have not come out till they were. We have waited almost 30 yrs for new megos, one more yr will not have hurt. I stand firmly with this view. Now we/some of us have some mystery goo in the packaging, that is causing the figures to melt, is this substance dangerous? what about for our kids? can it pose a health problem if put in mouth?Last edited by MEMEGO; Mar 16, '10, 9:03 AM.Comment

I'm not sure if I'm in the minority or the majority on this one ,but from my perspective its becoming a little disheartening seeing all the complaining/"need to improve" going on. Now please hear me out on this....does the new body need to be more posable friendly ...yes,are there some adjustments that could be made....bow legs/proportions....sure.....but when its all said and done....I am 42 and I am pretty sure that 30-40 years ago that Mego didn't really have too much compatition in the action hero department and they also were not dealing with a collectors market that scrutinizes everything ....a few years in they changed the body....improved the decaling process.....and added quite a few different variations along the way....again I also believe there is room for improvement, but I am still very excited about this line....my belief is if I could make/customize a figure better I would have .....I'm also sure everyone here that was like me, an 8 year old boy back in 1976 thought those figures were the coolest thing ever and is the reason I'm still looking for a product that brought me that enjoyment, and this has brought that feeling back....and I bet it safe to say that most of you were that same kid 35 years ago....I don't post too often, but I enjoy reading through the various topics....I believe if this line continues that proper adjustments can be made, but if we are all that inpatient that we need to fix a 3 week old product that is just starting out, Mego would have been getting buried too back then.Comment

If the body sucks, which I think it just needs tweaked a little, the heads and costumes are very usefull. I say give em a break and fix em up ourselves, get some tools and break them open so the heads don't break off. I gave my old superman a new suit and made a new Trek crewman so I am Loving the new mattel figures. My glass is always half full.Comment
