    Lex Luthor variation?

As I sat admiring the fawesomeness of the Mattel Luthor I began comparing to images in the forum and I happened on to a variation in the shoulder straps. Mine does not have stitching. Anyone else notice this. I'm providing my image carded and the Corellian Corvette's for comparison (hope you don't mind).

PS- I dont think I'm doing this image upload thing right any help would be appreciated.

Very interesting. Still waiting for mine to arrive so I have nothing to compare it to. 50 years from now, you will have the rare no stitch Luthor variant.

Yup, I saw it in the wild... I like the stitches better so I bought that one, but both versions were on the pegs at my TRU.

Wonder why some have them and some don't. Maybe the ones without stitching were released before Chinese New Year (and thus rushed out of the factory) and the ones with stitching after Chinese New Year, when they took more time to make these

It might be history repeating itself. Less vinyl is used when it's not folded over and hemmed, and time is saved. I can't decide which one I like better, I hope I can get both.

Or maybe it was intentional? An homage to mego variations of old... and if collectors buy more becuz of it, well that's okay too..

Interesting, I like the stitched variation, better.

I like the stitched version better. I think it'll be more desirable to collectors in thirty years or so. If anybody collects them...

Well... that's one way to keep Lex from becoming a peg-warmer.
