I am really jazzed about the Flash movie line and really hope they do move onto the filmation FLASH line afterwords. I need an animated lion THUN Mego!

PS- I never realized till last year that was Thun in the movie (as a human) who is told to "fall on his sword". I guess my Flash history only includes the animated series and the movie. Was Thun actually in the original serieals then (as a human I'd guess?).

With Ming looking as awesome as he does I can't wait to see the finished Flash!

I'm gonna use a repainted barbie jet ski as a sky cycle!

Which came first; the comic strip or the serial?

My mom used to watch the original serials back in the 30's when she was a kid.

That was when the movie was a quarter, and you could get the movie, the cartoon, the serial, the coming attractions, and a box of popcorn included!

I'm still not convinced by the "bare arm" look.
The fact that you see so many joints kind of spoils it for me.

I know, that's how Flash was dressed, but still...

We'll see. The BBP Ming figure is outstanding. I'm sure their revised Flash figure will be just as good. It looks like BBP wants to be the Hot Toys of the retro Mego world.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I feel the same way. I wish he had a jacket or something - the figure looks imcomplete despite being property accurate.

If they included a white 'Flash' T shirt with the figure as an accessory and alternate look, that might solve the issue.

Unrelated aside, the prototype card art - looks great. Especially the back.

Hey Dave, I don't remember seeing the version that you and the others came up with.

Are you legally prohibited from posting the picture or something?

If you are, *whispers* Could you maybe send me a PM with the pic attached? And a comparison to the BBP version?

It WAS a bit of a while ago. I don't remember every post I've put on here.

I wonder if we're going to get a Dale Arden or Princess Aura. I'd also love to get my greedy paws on a Prince Barin.

If I'm repeating anything that I've said before, LMK.

Thun was actually in the serials as a heavily bearded man(I guess to give him the appearance of a lion) who was called Thun, king of the lion men which is accurate to the strip.

SWORD! SWORD! I see the sword!!!! Woo Hoo! That makes me VERY happy! (if he in fact will still come with it). The design looks cool.

FLASH GORDON the movie had such amazing designs. All of the villains/soldiers in that movie were just SICK! I just wanted to throw my two cents in the ring and say for me, those guys were what helped make that movie so unique, and as such I really hope to get (besides a Klytus as my first hope!) a few of the soldier class (army builders!) if this series does well enough to continue on.

I will be the first to admit doing the (A) samurai-ish Ming soldier might be waaaaay too difficult to do in 8" doll form, but as an alternative, I wanted to point out the (B) cool red-helmeted troopers also had a varient with (C) the skull heads of the samurai version (if memory srves me right they were executioners?), so if you made the red helmeted soldiers, it would be a quick head change and you could use the same costume again for the other.
