Lonnie...all you have to do is contact the seller you bought it from on ebay, or contact ebay. They have buyer protection on everything now.

I received a broken MOTU figure from a seller that didn't take returns and ebay refunded my purchase price. First thing you need to do though is calm down.

I really doubt somebody at Mattel told you "too bad". They may not have resolved the issue to your satisfaction, but honestly, you come off as some kind of a hothead. No offense...

You'll get a lot more cooperation being nice...trust me.

I know this doesn't make it any less frustrating, but sooner or later you'll be able to buy a set at TRU and exchange them. Yours will go back out in stock and some parent will buy them for their kids to thrash on.

I think he comes off as a frustrated person who just got caught in a customer service circle jerk. He was summing up the situation as "too bad." I'm sure they were polite as they blew him off.

You do make a good point about buyer protection. The seller should have noted the defects when he resold them or he should have tried to return them to Mattel himself. At best the seller was careless.

Somebody understands how I'm feeling. Thanks for the clarification.

I think Mattel might have difficulty understanding that these are valued as collector items just like stamps and such.

I'm a open em up use a magic marker and play with them to death in the bathtub kinda guy. ( Don't even ask how many Micheal Keaton Bruce Wayne s I've gone through since 1990!)

If I had the extra cash I'd buy them off you. I really didnt plan on getting all four but I hate to see someoen upset.

Paul is at the Toy Fair today . Hes super. Im sure he'll help you out.

If you get more from Toys R Us you can hand pick them!

Damn, that's poor customer service. Didn't quite expect that from Mattel

I doubt he ever talked to a actual Mattel employee. Most customer service is farmed out to the lowest bidder.

If the items are not as described, file a E-bay complaint. Ebay sides with the seller most of the time and you'll get your money back

I think it's unrealistic to expect perfect figures from a mass produced line like this. You're going to get paint mistakes and you're going to have seams out of place. Aside from the missing lantern piece, which is a real problem, I don't think you should expect perfection from these toys. That said, it's the bow-legs that is keeping me at arm's distance.

Yeah I mentioned this before as an alternative. Buy a better quality set from TRU and return the lesser.

So I shouldn't expect quality from my toy that cost $25.00.

Uh, I never said anything of the sort. I just know how Mattel has been with their Masters of the Universe figures and suggested buying better quality figures from TRU and returning the ones you got in the mail. Besides buying online you can't see how the figures will be. And this way you don't get screwed since Mattel won't help you. Look at Hasbro with their illfated Indiana Jones figures from 2 years ago; even buying in the store was a challenge as the figures had fish eyes. Even high end figures like Sideshow or Hot Toys have their problems albeit not as many as Mattel or Hasbro.

                              Not Yet

Well, I went to Toys R Us and did not find Wave 1, or any part of it, I can not wait any longer so I am going online. I am sure they will show up at the store soon enough but after viewing all the pics I am growing impatient. I can't wait.....

I'm just gonna wait.....no need to hurry things up. Especially if they have any problems with the bodies and they need to be replaced by Mattel.
