One could say it is a narrow viewpoint to say 'You should see things the way I see them' or 'you gotta think big picture here' i.e. think like me and you will be happy.

Focus does not necessarily equate narrowmindedness. This is a chatboard dedicated to MEGO toys. There are discussions of other toys, vintage and modern, but the central focus is items made by the MEGO company which made an enormous amount of product in its lifespan including some 30 odd superheroes.

I'm not saying I am on either side of the fence on this and I am not trying to get any hackles up. But I do think that bashing on the bashers is counterproductive to enjoyment of the toys. Plenty of room around here for everyone's opinion and vision of the toys that inhabit their lives.

Don't be so open-minded and reasonable - you're just asking for trouble. If you've got issues with those boots, or those gloves, or those thighs you just keep them to yourself, Mister. You will profess your unconditional love or you will remain silent.

            That's exactly right.

My parents always taught us...If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. It's amazing how much friendlier the world was when everyone actually did that.

Now, I'm not saying that everyone should like everything...I don't. But there's a difference between saying, "These boots could've been better, but they're okay. They're not exactly how I would've done them, but they're good enough." and "These boots suck. Mattel are a bunch of idiots. I'm not buying any of these til they fix them."

That's all I'm gonna say. I don't want to turn a positive thread into a negative one.

              okee dokee
unconditional love - check; got it
silence - check; not a problem
              issues - none

              I'm feeling good now

The thing I like best about these guys and the thing I am most excited about is watching my son play with them. It is really gonna be a fun day to see him fly that new Supes around the room; fat boots and all.

Lex Luthor looks the best to me. He is just perfect. Sinestro and Green Lantern look nice too but I liked Green Lantern with the turtle neck in the earlier pics a bit better. Superman looks really nice as well. Love the chest symbol and belt (like the red loops through the belt)

Yeah Luthor's my favorite as well...they really nailed the outfit. I can't get over how bright the colors are.

Are they perfect? No! Do I have little "nit picks" about them? Of course. Am I excited they're being made? HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Will I mess with them, and customize them...you betcha'!! Seeing the new Superman Head Rotocast...for some reason I can't explain, doesn't look as good to me now. But hey...I've got a nude MINT condition original Mego Superman that needs a Costume.

I'm just super stoked about the fact that Green Lantern and Sinestro come with Lantern Batteries! And it looks like Luthor comes with a sliver of Kryptonite.

                              To paraphrase our friend Art...
