They look good to me. Superman's sleeves reach the wrist and that was my only concern. I'm slated for a couple sets. The tough part is getting the dough together to buy that super-fine Hall of Justice and Legion of Doom playset.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

It is cool they come with their lanterns, but I am more into the fact that Luthor comes with Kryptonite.

What happen to Green Lantern's "Turtle neck" type Collar (GL in the card). The Prototype pics has it,...But not the carded figure.

These are almost certainly 100% legit.

Much of what many of you here are experiencing now w/Mattel CS/distribution, collecting new figs (DC Hereos), store exclusives, etc., has been the exact same experiences many other collectors have been dealing with for almost two decades.

In the last 10 years or so, it's gotten even worse, and the last few years with Mattel's DC Universe line extremely worse. With the DCU line there has long been early released figures that have popped up in the same peoples hands (LA ports connections?) time after time. Same with CARS, Hot Wheels, etc. There are some exclusives for these lines too that seem to have a direct pipeline to certain retail establishments (Gleek). It's more than just getting to someplace first.. it's about who knows who, and how much green exchanges hands.

After many years of witnessing these developments I've come to the conclusion, and state-of-mind, not to get worked up, or too excited about any of these early showings. It's easy to let emotions get the better of you and pay up to 4-times the retail price of an item just to get it "first". I just wait on mass-availability, fair prices, then enjoy my item with no regrets (most times).

There is nothing worse than paying $70 dollars for something due to the gotta-have-it-now syndrome .. then just 4 weeks later seeing it hanging on a peg, or online site, for $15.

            Deep breaths everyone.

            g.

The pack ins are retro cool! I just hope they fixed the leg issues. I sucked it up and bought em off ebay because I can't stand waiting!

I think all you haters are crazy...LOL.

I think they look awesome, and I can't wait to get my grubby mitts on 'em! I just bought a set...should have them in hand by Friday.

I'm sure they'll look even better out of the package and posed too...figures always do.

Agreed. They're great. They've met every expectation I had. I'm very excited to get them when they come out. I preordered Hal from BBTS because I didn't want to take the chance of not getting him. The others I'll get as I see them.

When I got my Green Arrow, I showed it to my mom while it was still in the package. She said "I remember buying you these!" The packaging, although different was still familiar to her. So I think thats pretty cool.

Really? you are not bummed that the original legs could move and in 2010 it can't...seems like the original opened up a can of whoop *** on the the retros so far!

I am going to buy these from my local shop. He already has them ordered up and will set them aside for me which I think is fun. I don't care for the cards, but I don't really care about the cards either. The accessories are a bit of a surprise, I definately like the lanterns and the Kryptonite. The close ups of the heads we've seen thus far look cool. It still looks like they all have the same stupid leg design as Green Arrow. So what if they can't stand up on their own? I'm hopeing to rebox them anyway.

My Green Arrow not only stands on his own but his legs do move. I'm not sure why everyone has such a hate on for them. Unless its because they seem kinda bulky in the thighs?

I was confused by that too. After reading some comments I checked out my GA's legs and they moved in a "rubberbandy" way but they moved. I might just buy some extra bodies from Doc. Everybody raves about his. I want to see what I'm missing.

The Mattel legs are okay, just designed poorly the way they are strung. I prefer the cast-a-way bodies. They don't have a pelvic/hip issue like the emce bodies. And you can pose the arms! I haven't had a cast-a-way body break yet. A least four of my Doc Mego shoulders have torn and the arms fall off.

Thx for the tip, Lonnie. Are the Cast-a-way bodies bigger than Mego? I'm-a-likin'-what-I'm-a-readin'.
