    Playsets

Does anyone feel that Mattel might make playsets for these? IMO Dida Displays has the absolute best reimagined playsets around. I think it would be entirely feasible for Mattel to mass market Dida's playsets at an affordable price. Thoughts on this?

Agreed, the Dida Display sets are awesome, but I doubt Mattel is going to want to copy the design or even work together with Scott on this. But I'd love it if they did

Too true. My designs are based on a single template that can be reused. Mattell can tool anything they want in any shape they like.

Yeah Scott, but that doesn't mean that Mattel wants to spend a lot of money
on playsets. Typically playsets sell few units than individual figures, but
if and when the conversation comes up, I will be sure to show them your
        work.

That would be absolutely great if Mattel was able to work with Scott to produce his playsets! Scott has already done all the hard work coming up with the designs, it would just be up to Mattel to be able to produce them at an affordable price.

The ones produced by The Toyroom are also fantastic, especially the Batcave!

Maybe if the line takes off well they will make playsets. I'd really love to see a bigger in scale Batmobile though. One that looks like the old Super Powers one.

I think playsets should be made out of plastic and have high quality thick covered stickers for the interior and exterior detailing. It could have opening windows and doors. It could be made to stack and add side-by-side. You could make a whole skyscraper out of them. They could be closed off in the front to keep dust out and double as a display case and playset. It would just take some generic walls and floors and such that snap together. So new stickers is all it would take to change it to another building. You could have elevators and stairs. They could be made cheap and durable without all the cardboard and vinyl. Think about a high quality durable Wayne Foundation and Batcave and Hall of Justice!! I agree. I never really liked the Batmobile or the Batcopter! A more Super Powers version would be absolutely perfect!!

I love your idea, but I think the costs of making this would reflect on the sales price and I don't know how many people would be willing to pay the big bucks for this

^^It would be VERY cheap. Mattel could make it with no problem and sell lots and lots of them. They have some girl 8"(approximate)dolls and they cold make girlie ones too. If they are going to take this new line seriously and add females, them they should have all sorts of related paraphernalia. I don't think it is an unlikely scenario to have playsets produced. Think about all the crap made for Barbie. If they want girls to get the "super gals" if they make any they will want stuff for them to play with. (And somewhere for the collector to keep and display them.)

The funny thing is that many of the Barbie playsets and accessories are
scaled to 8 inch, not 12 inch.

If the standard measurement for humans is 6 feet tall, and the standard
residential room height is 8 feet, Barbie is a giantess in her playsets
                        and vehicles.

But we don't want PINK ones. I have some Barbie vehicles for future Mego customs. I think Barbie is Amazonian...
