I'm sorry for it all.

I keep $1.00 in my bank account to keep it open. I have no job. I borrowed $45.00 from my daughter for the hopes of getting two green arrow figures. When the time came the shipping put the price over what I could afford. I had $46.00. It cost too much. Now do you understand? Yes, I'm pathetic and had to get the money for one from my daughter. I'm a looser because your reasoning doesn't help me afford what cost too much. Your compassion is very reassuring that there are nice people on the forum. Thanks. Guess I'm just an idiot. No you compared me to a six year old. Thanks Saildog, you're a real nice guy.
Since I had no clue of your job situation throughout the whole discussion, I realize that I actually paid $34.80 shipping for my two figures.
I hope my admission makes you more right in all of this.Leave a comment:

No, Lonnie...you just don't get that shipping was $8.70. Not $8.70 FOR EACH UNIT. I tried to make that plain and you tried to make me out to be a jerk.Leave a comment:

I'm just tired of people getting insulting with me. I state facts and get insulted and treated like an idiot. I come here for fun and not to have to get crap from others. I have a problem backing down.Leave a comment:

You know, the main point is this:
Green Arrow sold out, which is the main objective for the seller. They're happy.
Whatever we do as collectors, is purely up to our personal tastes. I'm sure someone out there will like a GA with high heels and a wig.
So whatever we do with him, we bought him to begin with, and now we adapt him to our needs (or leave him alone).
Some people buy a car and drive it as it is. Others want flashy hubcaps and fuzzy dice. In the end, we, as the buyer, are happy too.
IMO, the only problem would have been if the figure didn't sell because we didn't want it at all.
It's all cool...Leave a comment:

So by your reasoning I would have magically gotten more money from the dollie fairy to pay for the extra that I couldn't afford because shipping was too high? You are sounding like a .Last edited by LonnieFisher; Jan 18, '10, 5:51 AM.Leave a comment:

Your comment was that you didn't order two because of the shipping. If you ordered one, the shipping on the second was free...had you ordered two.
There is no math to apply to that, Brother. Let that sink in. You paid the same shipping for one that I...and many others...paid for two.
$28.70 for one and $48.70 for two means that the shipping for the second one was essentially free....according to your logic. In my case, yes, your Math holds true...but you said you didn't order a second because of the shipping and I am telling you....well, did you pay $4.35 for the shipping for your one. No, You stated you paid the $8.70 for your one. I paid $8.70 for two.
You paid $8.70 for one. I didn't. You paid $8.70 shipping per unit...not me.
You have to get where I am coming from, right??? Your $8.70 shipping could have gotten you two figures shipped. I paid $4.35 each....you paid $8.70. We both paid $8.70 total...but I got two figures. Shipping was YOUR barrier because you didn't get it at the time and you fail to get it now.Last edited by saildog; Jan 18, '10, 5:58 AM.Leave a comment:

$48.70 divided by two is not 28.70 and 20. Your math skills are lacking. They were $24.35 each. You paid $24.35 each for the two you bought. I don't care how you try to trick yourself into the answer you got, you paid over twenty four dollars each for your dolls.Leave a comment:

No...but you did say swivel arms would have been the key to it staying original (not becoming original).
The same could be said for the bow-legs we got. They are original. As are the boots, the boxing glove arrow, the non-goggly eyed mask, the improved backpack, the hat that actually stays on the head....
See where I am going with this?Last edited by LonnieFisher; Jan 18, '10, 5:29 AM.Leave a comment:

Had you ordered two, given that you already paid for the shipping for the first one....you would have totally gotten the second one for $20.00.
One was $28.70.
Two for $48.70.
$48.70-28.70= $20.00...the second figure was $20. You got one and wanted two and stated your ONLY barrier was the shipping....shipping was free for the second one....the only cost was the $20 for the figure.Leave a comment:

Thomas, I wasn't trying to rub it in on you or any other member here who had to pay foreign shipping.
Domestically, which is what was being debated, the shipping was what it was.
Believe me, I am sympathetic to fact that you get screwed on everything shipping-wise. Seriously, I know better than to think Mattel was an exception....now, was it?(Remember, I like you enough to have read and remembered it all, Thomas. None of it is fair in my view, but is Mattel now the exception?)
