Hope not, Diamonds always high on prices, especially stuff like this. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

 No.

Here's what I would be paying, no tax, and included w/my monthy comics order ($5.99 flat rate monthly shipping).

JAN101452-WORLDS GREATEST DC HEROES HAL JORDAN RETRO AF - $20.79

 That's $20.79 each.

*This is a pre-order though, and had to be placed in Jan. '10. If you wait until they are in stores you will probably pay the list price.

**I actually went through AMAZON though (suggested here) because they had free shipping and it came out cheaper, and they may ship sooner.

Not sure there is one. The Order form (excel sheet) for my online comic store says the list prices is $25.99. But keep in mind this is for my store only, using Previews Catalog. Each store can really give any discount or not. Diamond Previews catalog (print version) list price is also $25.99, but that is a price shown to any customer that may just walk in. And of course, once a store has them in stock, hanging on the wall, then the price may be $30 and up each. It's a shell game at times dealing w/Diamond, and different comic stores.

Don't think so, why would they? Most of the prices I've seen (actual prices charged) seem to hit in the $20-$22 range. - The price issues that will affect how much somebody pays is the GRAND total in tax and shipping included in the purchase. BBTS charges both tax and shipping I believe, while AMAZON had free shipping, and no tax, so total out the door for all 4 is $79.96. BBTS wouldn't change pricing, as they get wholesale pricing, so they are getting a good break on bulk, but they pass the tax and shipping on to you.

Ordering through previews via comic store would have took my total to $83.16, plus a bit for shipping. But the delivery time seemed later, so I went through AMAZON.

 YMMV,

The price Mattel told me at San Diego was $20 as the Manufacturer's Suggested
Retail Price (MSRP) but based on what I heard from retailers, it looks like the
 MSRP is now $25.

Diamond has to buy them from Mattel like Toys R Us, but TRU is a much
bigger account than Diamond, servicing a much larger market, so TRU may
be getting a better price than Diamond.

If that's the case, TRU may or may not pass along the savings to the
 customer.Comment

 Superman's head

That's funny, because when we presented the figures at San Diego,
everyone I spoke to thought Superman looked the best of the line.

I guess it's true - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

By the way, the Superman head is the original MEGO head with
the spit curl and cleft chin added to meet DC's style guide.

Is the Museum going to do a spotlight on the Superman and Lantern production heads like they did with Sinestro and Luthor? I am really looking forward to seeing them.Comment
