Any plans on possibly doing boxed figures for Mattel's Retro line?

I, personally, am NOT a fan of Carded figures. Does Mattel have any plans on possibly doing boxed versions of the figures??

Boxed figures would carry this whole rebirth to the next level! We can only hope.

I bet, though, seeing as so many action figures these days are sealed in an insane amount of packaging Mattel would be unlikely to return to the good old days and release something unsealed (even without tape over a flap). I hope they prove me wrong!

No way they will sell them in boxes as well. You could always contact Toyroom though.

I hope so, but I doubt it

I'm fine sticking with cards. Besides, I know a certainly member here who would do an incredible job boxing up any of our new Mattels.

I'm a boxed figure fan as well, but I have to applaud Mattel on not killing us with over-packaging on the Green Arrow figure. Simple blister attached to card - no twist ties or extra layers of plastic bulking the packaging out.

I believe Doc has said it was Mattels decision to go with cards and that we are unlikely to see boxes. I think the cards are fine as long as they upgrade the card stock just a hair.

These days, most items of this size, must be designed to hang on a peg. Shelf space is reserved for bigger items/products.

Boxes would have been my #1 choice too.

The GA from Matty is in what looks like a double mego box to accommodate the card. Very surreal to open it.

                        I'd much prefer boxes anyday.

I'm a box fan too. They could do a modification for pegs like the Kingdom Come figs from DC Direct.

It looks like we're all thinking the same thing. Boxes are so cool. I bought a Green Arrow box from Mike Rogers and plan to get the next 4 figures boxed up too.

Pretty soon we'll all be needing that wild looking Mego Display box from the Toy Room.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
