Most of these characters listed would not sell in my opinion. Matell would be wise to stay with the core-characters despite what us hard-core fans want.

That said....anything Super Friends would be perfect!!

With Mattel's penchant for oddball characters mixed into their DC Universe classics, you never know what they'll choose. I agree they will go with the BIG GUYS for the first couple of waves, but all bets are off on subsequent releases. It is fun to speculate and dream, though...

                  Has anybody said MERA yet?

She's always been a favorite of mine even since way
                  back from the FILMATION days.

The SUPERQUEENS line had her and it always made me want one.

I have a half decent custom of her, but I wouldn't mind an upgrade!

An easy one for them to make would be Flash and Professor Zoom. You wouldn't have to spend too much money coming up with a design. Same head and the suit is assembled in the same fashion.
                    Perfect two hero/villain to release.

That reminds me, I need to make a Zoom.....but I have put off on all of my DC customs until I find out what is the plan for these guys. That is why I have been focusing on Marvels. It would be nice to get a whole boat load of DC heroes and villains we never saw in the original Mego line....crossing my fingers for Flash and Professor Zoom really bad!!

Wouldn't some of you be amazed of that "big surprise" they are talking about is a contract with Marvel also? (unlikely) but that will frost the cake.....
First things would be first! Captain America and the Red Skull!!!

I wouldn't be amazed if Marvel joined up.

I am totally banking on that they make BOTH many DCU characters
and that they or another toy company will make a Marvel line----
as much as it is wishful "amazing" thinking to some...I see it as
                      almost INEVITABLE...

...maybe I'll eat my words, but I'm thinking by about 2012 we'll be sitting
pretty with MANY DCU and MARVEL U characters made as close
to "Megoey" (with a few small slight conversions) as you can concieve
in a normal line progression that lasts for years ala FAMOUS COVERS
                      or even longer.

By 2012 maybe yes, but an announcement this February? Doubtful. Marvel didn't want to get on board now and so far only GA has been released. Sure, it sold out in less than 2 weeks, but maybe production numbers were lower because it was an exclusive. If Marvel is gonna jump on board I would think they'd want to see more sales numbers first. And if those look good they may decide to play along. I can see that happening by 2012, but not this soon yet

I kinda had a brain skiperoo and forgot about that aspect of Wrath's post..
..it DOES seem a bit too soon to see Marvel throw heir hat into this specific
ring with or without Mattel, but I'm banking that they're gonna give it a whirl
                            eventually

I would love to see Hawkman,Hawkgirl,Black Canary,Martain Manhunter and Atom made. Dr. Fate and Spectre would be nice too. For minor Bat characters I'd say bring on Nightwing in his disco suit,Manbat,Huntress and Robin from Earth 2 and the original Batwoman and Batgirl.

I don't expect it to happen since the character designs are likely to be stuck in the 70s, but I'd love a modern Nightwing. He's got a really simple but elegant look that I think would lend itself to the format and the DC direct 13" looked snazzy enough, I thought:
