Anyway you look at it, superheros in the public shoping eye.
Will be good for all of us.

I know there are more to thank, Doc can take care of that.
Everything we all have today, collection wise.

I don't know where the Dec 23 proposal comes from, but Dr. Mego needs to be honored somehow, he has been filling our Mego collection gaps since day one... Whether is on Decemeber 23 or some other day, or some other way, lets let him know how grateful we are to him...

Regarding the CastAWay folks and the rising ZICA Toys, lots of potential here but still need to prove themselves with licensing, product offering, availability and customer service. I wish them the absolute best as well! Bring on more Megos!!!

This is very funny - Dec. 23rd was my mother's birthday. She died April 2006
very suddenly, but was advancing into the not-fun stages of dementia.

At her funeral, I silently asked her - if she wasn't busy - could she pull some
strings to make the Star Trek deal happen? Since that day, I have always
tried to say thank you to her for Mattel, etc.

I realize that post was mostly a joke - but to me, Dec. 23rd will always be
specially devoted to the woman who bought me the Batcave, Batmobile,
and all my original MEGOs while always disapproving of me playing with dolls.

I will make Dec.23 everyear, DR.MEGO DAY!! If you don't mind?
That was the day I got to order a new Mego.
I had not done that since 1976 when I ordered my Fantastic Four & Conan.

Without you, I would not be looking at all the EMCE ST figures on the wall,
or the NEW mattle GA, my growing Ape army. And all the cool custom accessories.
I have a grandson now, and I can't wait to be able to share my childhood with him. Because of you and all the great people here at the MM.

I grew up in Detrot MI, and comicbooks and my Mego, and many more action figures.
Saved me, from a ton of trouble.

Like you said, you don't make a lot of $$ doing this.
So the least, we could do is make that day.
A special day already, even better.
